iPad 3 Retina Display

Dear Farsight,

Apple is expected to announce their next generation iPad, the iPad 3, at a media event on March 7. Furthermore, there is very good evidence, showcased on tech websites such as Mac Rumors, that the iPad 3 will have a 'retina' display with twice the linear resolution of the current iPad, so 2048x1536 pixels. I know this device has not yet been confirmed or officially announced by Apple yet, but can you tell us anything about whether to expect Pinball Arcade to get enhancements in the future to run at the full resolution of this device? Thanks.

Farsight have confirmed on their facebook page that they will be supporting ipad 3 but they haven't said exactly how yet. I guess they may say more once they have their hands on one and can find out what it can do. Hopefully they can upgrade the current universal app, only problem there though would be the increase in file size with the added HD textures. Maybe they could add a seperate in app download of hd textures for ipad 3 owners rather than have everyone suffer the larger file size. Anyway until next wednesday its all just speculation.
