I have seen shots of the ps3 version and I agree the visual inconsistencies are a big issue. I made the comment that the recent tables like Taxi and Harley Davidson look like the artist was color blind. Then you have baffling design decisions like making the ramps solid in NGG. As for the other platforms, I find the visuals are consistent on iOS and Xbox. Yes I agree about some of the issues with Twilight Zone but it's a mobile version so I don't get hung up on it. Certain areas like whatever the hell is wrong with the gumball machine lol will probably be adressed. It's difficult doing mobile because you need to code to the lowest common denominator, improve the graphics too much and all of a sudden iPhone 3 users are screwed etc. so I give them a pass on mobile, and think theyre "good enough" in my book. As for platforms like Vita, that's unfortunate but things like that happen when small developers bite off more than they can chew. Would the game be a better quality on other platforms if they just cut out the smaller platforms like Vita and Mac? I hate to say it but probably. However with all that being said I find the quality of the Xbox tables to be consistent, and pleasing to the eye across the board. It's a big improvement over HOF, it's 1080p native, and I don't feel it looks flat. iOS looks flat, Xbox doesn't. As for Zen, I'm gunna have to disagree with you I think it's a visual downgrade. Maybe I didn't play the right tables but I thought the game was ugly. If I had to complain about the Xbox visuals, theres this weird artifacting issue that I have no idea what causes. You really only see it up super close on a big tv though. I also feel that some of the textures could be at a much higher quality. Some of them are downright lazy (bride of pinbot immediately comes to mind in areas) and overall at 1080P and with not this gigantic area to render I feel the textures should be near photo realistic. Hopefully high resolution texture packs are planned for the PC version (or 720, ps4 if those are planned). I totally get why you'd be bothered by the visual problems. You're right, and the fact you can point these out shows you're good at what you do! It's like with me I see decisions like what they did with the pro mode and (lack of) marketing on xbox and it bugs me because I have a marketing background, or some posters like Sean DonCarlos feels where they made the physics too easy because of his background in coding physics (don't hurt me Sean if u read this, just trying to make an example >_<'). The solution here is simple Farsight just needs to hire us lol. In all seriousness though, theres zero excuse for the ps3 quality. Get it up to snuff Farsight.
