Leaderboards when playing offline

So I finally managed to get a decent game (for a beginner like me) at Cirqus Voltaire, making myself a good ~157M. When I went to compare how I stand to the online leaderboards, I discovered that my X360 for some reason was offline. Going online, waiting for a long time, playing a few more games, my Leaderboards score has not been updated.
Does this mean my scores will never get on the leaderboards if I'm offline while playing?

And no, I didn't disable Tilt.

Correct, you have to be online at the end of the game for it to register on the leaderboards.

Damn, that's a real bummer considering my terrible internet connection. Hoping they'll fix this in an upcoming patch!
