I finally found some time to test the new release. (iPad1, based on default physics settings) The good: -The new table is fun and demanding. Nudging helps to avoid outlane drains. -Gameplay on iPad 1 is more fluid compared to the last version. -Default physics settings seem to be improved. -Nudging looks better and the interaction with the flippers seems to be better. -Flipper physics seem to be improved too. It's easier to pass the ball from left to right. -The flippers are more powerful. Backhand shots are easier. -Clown sounds are fixed. -Futureworld: Lightmap dynamics during gameplay (blinkenlights in the upper right) The bad: -Starting 'Earth Wind, Fire' on my iPad 1 crashes the app due to low memory. Everytime. Error log: Hardware Model: iPad1,1 OS Version: iPhone OS 5.1 (9B176) Kernel Version: Darwin Kernel Version 11.0.0: Wed Feb 1 23:17:16 PST 2012; root:xnu-1878.11.8~1/RELEASE_ARM_S5L8930X Date: 2014-01-31 17:50:35 +0100 Time since snapshot: 42 ms Free pages: 564 Active pages: 1624 Inactive pages: 911 Throttled pages: 43170 Purgeable pages: 0 Wired pages: 16739 Largest process: Zaccaria Pinball Processes Name UUID Count resident pages … Zaccaria Pinball <55c91c47ad3d3c419683434ca4314c0a> 9623 (active) … (I have about 20 low mem error messages logged, usual procedures to free memory didn't help) Summary: Overall, this update is another step in the right direction to perfection. The physics are better than before and flipper mechanics seem to be improved, too. The EWF Low Memory condition is a downer but I'm certain the next version will get rid of this, too. (See my Gamecenter scores to verify that I've thoroughly tested the app) (tested based on custom physics settings 4.6 5.4 55 70 2.8 3.9 322, mostly future world)
