Pinball Dreams

It's perhaps a bit sad to admit this, but for some reason pinball machines appear in my dreams probably at least once a week.

Last night I dreamt that my local arcade had installed a BK2K and High Speed. It was a wonderful dream. I woke up to the harsh reality of Avatar, TMNT and Raven.

(Not bashing my arcade as they have a lot of great tables but there are no WMS machines at all!)

As I was nodding off one time, I tried pressing non-existent flipper buttons, girlfriend thought it was hilarious.

I occasionally have pinball machines in my dreams, but for some reason they almost always look horrible. Once I dreamed about a funhouse machine but nearly everything was stripped from the playfield and Rudy was shaven and his head was half sunk into the playfield. Fun...

I frequently have dreams that I buy a machine and when it arrives, it doesn't work. And no matter what I do, I can't get it working. It's usually one of the Gottlieb wedge heads that I covet.

I once had a dream that someone abandoned a Revenge From Mars right outside my house. I took it in and it was still in working condition.

I had a dream about purchasing a Stern Star Trek and an Indianapolis 500 from a dealership in Needham... and they played wonderfully (despite the dealership I found them in looked like a dump). Wish it could have happened in real life

I had a dream that I was at Flippers in North Carolina and all the tables were out of order. There was a kid sitting on Lord of the Rings eating beef jerky. Other things happened too but I can't remember.

I had a dream that the college I went to had installed a Cirqus Voltaire. Much to my dismay, the playfield was mirrored, and like in Myst's dream, it was majorly stripped of everything.

I actually had a dream last night that I had finally gotten my motorcycle and was racing it with a group of people around a grungy neighborhood which was a hybrid between two neighborhoods that happen to share a similar layout in two different cities I've lived in. Some sketchy guy kicked what must have been the throttle body or the exposed fuel injector which caused a fuel/oil leak and terrible performance on what was my one day old bike and I had a big sad.

I know that it isn't pinball related but motorcycling is my current obsession.

I'm waiting for this thread's sister thread to be opened titles Pinball Fantasies for some reason I had expected this thread to be about the game lol but I'm sure we all have some fantasies regarding real pinball too.
