Please support my Arcade Stick

Dear FarSight, I have a very nice PS3 wireless arcade stick. Please add support for it! I imagine it should work similar to how iCade support works on the iPad - with the stick being used for plunging, and buttons for nudge.

Unfortunately, it has a very strange button layout (must be a Japanese fighting game thing) so fully customizable buttons are essential.

Here's a picture of it:

Notice that the right and left (R1/R2/L1/L2) buttons are reversed! How does that make any sense? I can use it with Zen Pinball but I have to turn it upside down. Ugh, no fun. I can't use it at all with TPA, it makes the game go haywire. Fully customizable buttons would make this perfect. I'd use X for left flipper and L2 for right.

What is it about that controller that you would like to play TPA with that over a regular controller?

I had a similar experience when I tried to use my Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 sticks with TPA a while back, I guess just because they have more arcade-like buttons that I thought would be nice for flippers. But yeah the menus I think it was would just spazz out in a bizarre way, so it wasn't really usable. Wouldn't have mattered if they didn't though I guess because I really my pad's the analog stick for nudging now.

What is it about that controller that you would like to play TPA with that over a regular controller?

I have RSI and carpal tunnel issues. Holding the PS3 controller for long periods of time becomes painful. The arcade stick does not aggravate those issues nearly as much though. Plus it has nice big buttons which are similar to the flipper buttons on a real pinball machine. I bought an iCade to play TPA on my iPad and that is pretty nice. The PS3 stick is even nicer though.

Sorry man, but its very unlikely this request will ever be fulfilled on the PS3 version considering the extensive list of issues Farsight has to work on.

The PS3 controller is notorious for having bad ergonomics. The are some cheap off-brand controllers out there with different shapes that might be worth trying out.

I've tried the monoprice one, no better. I did get the xtendplay sleeve for the stock ps3 controller and that made it a lot better. I love playing Zen Pinball with the stick, even turned upside down to fix the stupid reversed R/L buttons. TPA with stick support and customizable buttons would be the greatest thing ever. I know, I'm dreaming...
