plunging with a controller

Hey there guys, i was hoping someone wouldn't mind helping me out with this one. I have an xbox controller that I play with, but if I set my plunger on the analog sticks, my plunges are very weak and it seems like its not always the same as well. but when i assign my plunger to my left or right should triggers (the axis ones), i have no control over them. as soon as i start pressing, it keeps going until it reaches full power...

i wont even mind using my mouse for accurate plunging, but i cant seem to get that working either, wont someone please just help me with what i am doing wrong?

I'm using an Xbox controller as well. What I've noticed with the PC version of the app is that if the ball is moving, the plunge is often weak. That includes when the ball moves side to side in the trough right after you pull back the plunger. Best thing to do is pull back the analog stick, wait a few seconds, let go. You can actually see the ball shifting back and forth after pulling if you look closely.
