In the ps3 version of williams classics you can "steer" the ball with substantial accuracy by rapidly performing small nudges of the analog joystick. The ball slides in the opposite direction of the nudge (correctly) but fails to slide completely back as the table returns to normal position. The effect is subtle, but with 3 or 4 consecutive, quick nudges it can turn an sdtm drain into a very safe catch on your flipper of choice.
Please insure the ps3 version of Pinball Arcade does not have this "feature"! I put the grand champ score on No Good Gofers using (in part) this technique, but would rather win with a more "honest" physics engine!
