I actually found myself really wishing the PS Vita had a stereoscopic 3D screen while playing pinball as I have a real hard time keeping track of everything.I do not have the same problem on PS3 because 1080p is plenty of detail for my eyes to resolve, but it would still be hugely beneficial for the reasons already described. It amazes me how many people think 3D is only for eye straining pop out effects (which due to my lazy eye 99% of the time I can't see) when in fact the main point is to improve your depth perception, something which can be a real problem in games. However I am greatly concerned at their ability to do it effectively on the PS3, as the update to improve the lighting engine caused the famous flipper lag problem for those of us with TVs that are a bit slower than average at getting the picture rendered. It does seem a lot better since the last update but even so I can imagine 3D will be even worse.
