Rescue 911 Impressions (out now on iOS!)

I've never seen, let alone played, a Rescue 911 IRL, so I can't compare any discrepencies. So far I'm liking it, though. It definitely looks and sounds like a Gottlieb from this era. I'm not a big Gottlieb fan but this one seems like it has potential. It does have that Gottlieb Premiere sound board that makes all their tables sound the same and I don't really care for the synth music on most of them.

Time will tell on this one, it's following some tough acts. Dredd and Hurricane have been some of my most-played tables in a long time. Will update as I get more time with it, please share you opinions and any comparisons to the real game!

UPDATE: Performance issues on iPad Air 2. Sometimes the game hitches for a second during intense action.

R911 isn't bad, but isn't great either. Looks like season 5 is going to end on weak notes. Sorry, but AG Soccer and TX Sector aren't exactly power-closers. Then again season 5 did start very strongly with TG:HS2 and F14. How do you top those to start a TPA season?

I hope they'll start season 6 with Rollergames or Banzai Run. Either/or would be great redeemers for this weak ending to season 5.

Spent some more time, definitely one of the best Gottlieb's in TPA. I really like the theme and how it further diversifies the TPA catalogue.

Last Action Hero has been clearly implied by today's clue, so that's the next table! That's a very strong closer and one of the best Data Easts, which TPA needed more of.

The Getaway and Dredd were high on my wishlist and so was LAH! Huge season, for sure.

In another post, I played devil's advocate and said in jest that since those foods are popular with soccer players, thus making the next table AG Soccer.

It's an awesome game. I mean, it's a terrible movie and Data East tends to be mediocre, but it ends up being a great pinball table.
