Its all sorts of fun all rolled up into 1!
Go Karts
Mini Golf
Arcade and this includes PINBALL!
I used to venture this place daily on tips ruling the hottest game at the time initial D! Killed them ALL!
Today i got a Pin itch...CAUTIOn the symptoms may include packing family into cars for FAUX family trips just to get your fix, uncontrollable muscle funtion while draining a ball, disorientation, dry mouth, frequent trips to the token machine. Consult a pintricion while playing if possible.
ok so i go there because i heard they had a METALLICA and they did......CRANKED UP! I scored a replay my first game 103million but had to piss, so i went and right and I mean right as im walking up dudes realizin theres a free credit im saying NOOooo! but it too late. he aknowledges me and my no mouthing because it as loud in there and gets this aww Im sorry look, finally im close enough i say thats mine but you can have it if you want to do 2 player he declines and says he'll pay for his play, I like this guy :) and as im watching him play and not well i notice he does the foot twitch like me but in his own way....:p What is it about pinball that makes us do this? I remember as akid watching my parents play intendo, thy could never get it right it's Nin Tendo! but seriously ive gamed my whole life and the only game that makes me jump like that is PINBALL even TPA triggers it Kuddos FS! anyways I smoked him then played a really quick game of AC/DC and LOTR but i couldnt get METALLICA out of my head its that good. I decided to walk the arcade since its been awhile and I found a SUPER MARIO WORLD! played a quick game on it and I wish i had played another but was done with credits left on my card for the next time I guess. enjoy the pics, I hope you enjoyed the story and to be continued....

Dude! What condition were the pins in? And was this Rohnert Park or Cordelia?

I went to Cordelia Scandia a loooong time ago, machines were in such sad shape I swore I'd never go back.

Rohnert Park the only other one I been to is Fairfield but not since I've been looking for pinball. They were good although I thought METALLICA might have leaned a lil'right.

SS's enthusiasm was effective enough for me to check it out this morning - lots o' fun!

Family Guy (SS's dark machine in the pics above) was still off, but I got quickie games in on all the rest and then went back to the fun ones that were in the best shape - Spider-Man, Transformers and Lord of the Rings.

Metallica had some issues - it would throw two balls into the plunger lane instead of one and do the end-of-ball routine after the first one drained, and after a power cycle fixed that issue it would fail to sense a ball drain until two or three ball-finder routines. Otherwise it played pretty good, except for a slight right lean - seems that several tables were like that, as if the maintenance guy's level was off or something.

But the biggest problem for me was AC/DC, the machine that I really wanted to hog the whole time I was there - I'd read Sean's rulesheet extensively and repeatedly and was determined to do really good... until I found that SS stole a crucial part of the machine! Look closely at his pic - he took it (the pic) after he removed the part, and I'll bet he's got it hanging from his rear view mirror right now.

Hint: It goes "gong".

So I didn't play much AC/DC, but had enough fun with the others to make the trip worthwhile. I'll definitely be back, after calling ahead to see if SS returned the bell!

Pretty good location! Hell, anything with more than 2 tables is aces in my book. I don't care for the Transformers table. It's all noise, no substance. The nailed it! Mushroom World is fairly exploitable, but yeah, kinda complicated for the kiddies. When I played it, the guys had remounted the legs so it stood at normal height. Of those, I till haven't played Spiderman, POTC, Batman, or Family Guy. I think it's time you got friendly with the place and offered some basic services to them in exchange for free gaming!

I wonder if that's a common issue. That exact thing happened to me twice when I was playing the 2 metallica tables they had at comic-con.

I actually played one of these recently (it had been updated with longer legs like the one SYT played) and it was actually kind of fun for a couple games.

It was set up as a redemption game, and obviously its really easy to keep the ball in play, so I built up a huge pile of tickets which made some kids quite happy when I walked away lol.

Actually Skill, you played the EXACT one I played. It was the boys that own Nifty LED and they brought it up to CAX a few days after our league night.

Gonna have to check this out next time I'm up in the north bay. I drive by the Scandia in Fairfield all the time as I go to Tahoe regularly. Didn't realize there were more of them.

No, they brought Mario back down and then threw it up on CL for $1700. No idea if it sold or not, but probably. Metallica is what they were bringing back to the pizza joint, but will be leaving permanently tomorrow to go live in Vegas at the other pinball arcade that is there.
