Does anyone have any details on this?
Do any of our current tables import into this? If so, or even if not, are they any different over the PS Pinba Arcade versions?

I've also been hearing issues with the lighting again on this release. Did the bug from the last Pinball Arcade "Audio Fix Patch" update make its way into this as well?

I dunno. Bulb brightness is purposely not as bright as the newest tables on Pinball Arcade.

Compare Frankenstein SPA to Frankenstein TBA.

Audio is correct.

Ball Lighting or reflections seems off though IMO

Materials I think are a little better.

Physics are MUCH better.

"Stern Pinball Arcade" and "The Pinball Arcade" are two different games. I would be very surprised if tables like Ripley's would be transferred to the new game, if you already bought it on TPA. But it's easy to find out. Install the main game, which is free, and see, if it transfers any of your existing games from TPA into SPA. I'm 99% sure it won't.

It´s no surprise, it´s not available in Europe, yet. Does anybody has further information about the release in Europe on PS4?

No, I asked FarSight, but they couldn't tell yet. I'll let you know, when I know more.

Bought both bundles. Desperately needs a brightness slider. Most tables are too dark. Not real pleased that over half the tables are already in TPA. I hope NOT to see any more dupes.

The only trophies are for the free Frankenstein table. No trophies for any of the other DLC tables, which is bizarre.

I agree about the darkness on some of the tables. The audio seems good. Really outside of the darkness, it's pretty solid. I don't like how generic the UI looks though. Also why do we still not have friends' leaderboards?

So I finally sat down and tried it out. As others said, the tables are too dark. The ball in particular is extremely dark and dull too. It almost looks like a shadow whipping around and at times becomes an unplayable dark blur.

Playing AC/DC, I had a really hard time seeing the ball at times.

I wonder why they didn't include the lighting slider or the sound mixing sliders from TPA.
That, plus the UI, definitely feels like a downgrade.

Both The Pinball Arcade and Stern games need a way to make the pinball brighter in the dark room setting.

So how is this Stern Pinball setup? All games are free to play, but if you want to earn trophies or get goals you need to pay?
I kept trying to get the final standard goal in RBION, but even though I kept getting the skill shot, it never registered.

Is it really $20 to unlock scoring/trophies for just the single AC/DC table?

While I believe all those that say the game is dark and/or looks darker than TPA...

Truth be told though, any video direct from the PS4 it's self is not a true reflection of what you actually see on screen when the game is running as all PS4 created video's and captured images such as trophies tend to look much darker than what the game actually is/was.

Also it's a good thing SPA and TPA share Stern tables, so you can easily see how the game is darkened, dull steel balls and vice versa.

Yeah...I easily (definitely) see the great additions to the pinball tables that TPA already had. My Kindle Fire shows it. I just hope (big-time) that StarTrek, AC/DC & Mustang are added quickly.:D

The video being recorded is taken directly from the PS4's onboard video encoder and is the same quality which is sent to the HDMI output.
Comparison of the game vs the video has always looked identical to me, albeit a bit softer and with some noticeable compression artifacting.

AC/DC is a much better pinball experience when you can see the table clearly, and more importantly, the ball.

The pinball in Stern looks like it did on TPA back when it was first released onto the PS3. It's dull and doesn't seem reflective at all.

The only good things I can say about Stern is that the sound seems perfect. Even better than TPA on the PS4, especially with Ripley's Believe it or Not. And the physics are much improved. If they can add the audio and lighting sliders in, as well as making the pinball much brighter during night play, along with better overall reflections then it would be a much better experience.

Frankenstein in particular seems even darker than the rest. The ball totally blends in with the table graphics and when it starts going fast it becomes nearly unplayable. :(

Also, is the audio supposed to sound like this? It almost sounds like it was recorded via a speaker output instead of direct audio.

I'm guessing if we can't even get the setting options from the PS3 version from years ago (stereoscopic 3D), or even the basic options from the PS4 version, such as the brightness slider or audio mixing, then any chance for PSVR support is probably not in the cards.

Either your eye sight is very poor,

Or your screen isn't set up properly which is more than likely the case... I would get both checked out if I were you.

Your reply makes absolutely no sense...

So you're saying that because both my original game screen, as well as the video recorded internally by the PS4's video encoder chip look the same, my "screen isn't set up properly"?? Again, that makes no sense whatsoever.

And again, the PS4 onboard encoder resides on the same chip that renders all of the PS4 video it's rendered AND THEN it goes to the MP4 video encoder. Don't believe me? Try adjusting the gamma in a game and then record it. It will display EXACTLY as it does in-game.
WYSIWYG

If your PS4 recorded videos look different than what you see while playing the game than something is wrong on your end.
So good luck with that. Maybe you can solve that problem.

I've been recording PS4 Videos using the internal PS4 encoder for years now and it's always recorded exactly how it looks when playing the game. Minus the trophy pops and other menus if you have them disabled in the settings.

Here are 100+ videos I've recorded this way.

I thought the tables looked dark also. But then i switched to "Game" video setting from "THX"
in my tv settings and tables look great! AC/DC is great table, star Trek is good, havent played Mustang yet. Can't see myself re buying other tables, no in incentive for me.

Any idea what the difference is between AC/DC Premium that's included in table pack 1 and the AC/DC that's sold separately for the same price (26.99 Canada, 19.99 US)?
