That's about as cheap as you're going to find a Centaur these days, even in that shape. On ebay though, if it sounds too good to be true, it sometimes is... Is it local to you so you can go see it?

Shame about the wear above the flippers. It's also missing the plastic lane guides just next to the flippers. Those break a lot. Dead sound board could be any number of things. In general sound boards need to be repaired rather than replaced. Nobody seems to make repro sound boards.

I think if you took both this Centaur and the Centaur II also on eBay, you could make an absolute beauty out of the pair and sell the leftover parts.

There's no pics of the boards. If the "say it again" board is malfunctioning or worse, missing, that will be a hassel as they're very difficult to find.

Those early-SS Bally games didn't have a free play setting. However, everyone knows that the trick is to set the replay score level to something ridiculously low so you always get a free game. :)

I almost accidentally placed a bid on the Centaur 2 just now, meant to hit the back button on my S4 which I'm still trying to get used to and hit the place bid button as it was right at the bottom of the screen. Luckily I noticed the confirmation box.

Shame that Centaur II has a trashed backglass. That'll be nigh on irreplaceable. It was potentially a good deal before I noticed that.

I say go for it if your not afraid to to a little work on it and you get it for that price.(I see there are other interesting parties also)

In worst case scenario, this is probably one of the easiest machines to sell. Collectors are wild about it for a reason ;-)
