No more room, no more money.

One week from today I'll be spending a lot of time in Middle Earth.

Pretty stoked about this one :D

Yes. I have been wanting one for while but there is only a handful of them close to me and no one is selling so I started to look for AC/DC instead but as Someone said in another thread it is really expensive because it is so new still.

Suddenly a nice version of LOTR showed up in Denmark for sale and the rest is history. I will pick this baby up on the border between Norway and Sweden in 5-7 days.

It is a 2 hour drive just to get there but I think it will be worth the trip ;-)

Yes! Nice one! I've played it yesterday in the tournament we had, it is awesome! Congrats on that purchase :)

Great pickup karl! One of the very best Sterns. And deep enough to keep you busy for a long time. Post a vid or some pics when you get her up and running.

Congrats Karl! I've been leaning more toward the AC/DC myself, but there's certainly nothing wrong with seizing an opportunity to get a LOTR with both hands!

Thanks Sean. Two brand new Sterns was just a bit more than my wallet could take. I will surely be on the lookout for Ac/Dc in a couple of years or maybe trade in Metallica if it does not live up to my own hypeometer ;-)

Oops...forgot you had a Metallica already on order. Definitely makes more sense to have gone with LOTR. Two modern music-themed Sterns might be a bit too similar...and as you said, NIB Sterns can be harsh on the bank balance.

Thanks Jeff. Are you getting closer to buying one yourself?

Nah, I'm content to just play on location here and there. As a paraplegic, performing my own maintenance isn't really an option, and I don't want to have to pay someone every time something breaks. Maybe someday I'll stumble across a load of money and I'll have my butler double as a pinball repair guy :)
