TPA has introduced me to some really cool tables I've never had a chance to play. Being 40, I was already in my 20's when the 90's rolled around and I honestly never cared for many of the DMD games.... I felt like the focus was on a silly dot-matrix screen that distracted you from the real game - that being pinball, not trying to play a 2-button low-res video game. Some tables, I still feel like that. But others, like TOTAN, CV, etc.. use it really well and I have learned an appreciation for certain DMD's.... and that is a direct testament to TPA, I would never have gone out my way to learn or play those tables if they weren't sitting on my PS3. Now truth be told, I'm still a bit of a Williams Sys11 snob, and those are far and away my favorite tables. When I think "Pinball" my brain goes - Pin*Bot, Taxi, Funhouse, Whirlwind, etc... - those are the tables I grew up playing in the mid-80's-early 90's. But ultimately, when you break it down to $1.25 or so per table, even a bum table is pretty easy to bear, and often I am surprised. Big Shot, for example, has quickly become one of my favorite tables of all time - to the point where if I ever find one locally for sale I will buy it in a hearbeat. I used to have a bad anti-EM bias as well, lol. I have no idea if they are planning a S3, if they are I will probably buy it. MUCH of this depends on how FarSight handles the EOL mega-PS3 update they are talking about. If they are able to fix some of the game-killers and obvious art issues, I will have no reservations about continuing to buy PS3 DLC. I honestly don't know how much better games can get than 60fps @ 1080p, when I get right down to it. I have also been burned on every Sony launch console, with the exception of the OG PS1. I have learned my lesson. Wait 8-10 months, they will release a cheaper, slimmer, more power efficient version that will actually last for longer than 12 months. In the meantime, I'll be playing the heck outta TPA. Between the high initial price, weak selection of launch games, and the bugs and growing pains of a new console, I will pass, TYVM.

I also must say, I'm seriously questioning the lighting effects they are using. [QUOTE="MonkeyGrass, post: 101191, member: 3108"] I already bought the Season 2 pass, so obviously, I'll be getting all the S2 tables. I find the Season Pass to be by far, the best deal going on these tables. Even when I think "Ahhh, that table doesn't look so cool, I probably won't play it much" I find myself being dead WRONG most of the time. TPA has introduced me to some really cool tables I've never had a chance to play.
