From the newsletter:

"Believe it or not! We have hinted at this and we have talked about this and now we are announcing this!! We will be releasing the beta of our tournaments. This will be an open tournament, featuring the first four tables we released: Tales of the Arabian Nights, Black Hole, Ripley's Believe It or Not, and Theatre of Magic. This will be open for everyone on iOS and Android next month."

Not on iOS and Andriod, but good on ya Farsight let's get this rolling for consoles too. Make the tournaments PAPA rules, set those operator menus to hard and let's take the rubber rings off of the inlane posts and raise them all the way up. Also no extra balls or replays if anything could we maybe get a hybrid of PAPA rules...please ?

Pretty sure that when Tourneys mooted originally it was IFPA rules that they mentioned.
And as TOTAN's Pro Table tips are from Josh Sharpe of IFPA I reckon it'd be worth checking out:

In my NZ IFPA Comps we all play one machine-then top 4 to Table 2-Then the top two play off on Table 3

I wonder if they'd work like the tournament mode does on PHoF.

In short: You take the table's replay value, divide it by 10. This is your point score. You play the game, and your final score is divided by that value to calculate your points. Most points wins.
