Friday to Sunday for me too.

Bit concerned there doesn't seem to be any further news. Website has not been updated and no news on the Game List.

No replies on Facebook either.

News such as? The gamelist is never final but you can see a rough idea here: http://ukpinball.wetpaint.com/page/2013+UK+Pinball+Party+Tables

News such as 'is the event still going ahead?'. Someone asked this on FB a couple of days ago and there's been no reply. In fact there's been no update on FB since May last year.

The Game List hasn't been updated either, with just this still on the site:
More than 110 pinball tables will be set on freeplay for the weekend and a list of tables will appear here closer to the event.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the event is supposed to start tomorrow? I'd say that's pretty close to the event!

Last I heard from Andrew, the Game List was to be updated the week before the event.

So, the lack of communication could lead someone to believe:
a) Andrew is extremely busy organizing and hasn't had time to update the site, or reply to his customers on FB
b) Due to some unforeseen circumstance there may be issues with the event actually going ahead.

I appreciate that an event such as this must take a lot of planning by a lot of people, but a little feedback to your paying customers who will be traveling from far and wide, and will have already booked into the hotel, wouldn't go amiss.

Customer relations again, sounds familiar...

No news is good news.

We can but hope!

But in this case no news is either:
a) Andrew is extremely busy organizing and hasn't had time to update the site, or reply to his customers on FB Bad
b) Due to some unforeseen circumstance there may be issues with the event actually going ahead. Very bad

b) Very, very unlikely seeing as he's announced on Facebook, that he will be unveiling Full Throttle at the weekend there :)

Quite excited about the whole weekend :)

hey mr tangerine man, i'll be there Saturday and Sunday, my third year at this event now.

btw, have you checked out pinformer for pinballs in your area?
http://www.pinformer.co.uk/find.pl?town_id=72&searchtown.x=59&searchtown.y=10&machine_id=226

there's no guarantee they're still there, especially if entries were made before 2012, but you never know.

Yeah, I checked out pinformer and was hopelessly let down. I live in Liverpool but am Blackpool born and bred (hence the name). I went for a tour of Blackpool arcades when visiting my family a while ago and there was not one pinball table on the golden mile, very sad. Also went over to New Brighton where pinformer said there were a couple of machines and there were none to be seen. I think the only way to get a decent pinball arcade is to fill my front room with them. None at the moment but it's a good plan.

I was going to say will be good to bump into a few of you on Sunday. I'm an overweight bloke in his early forties - although somehow I don't think that will help to narrow me down much this weekend lol.

By the way, even though i'm from up North I was conveniently in North London (Friern Barnet area) this weekend for my brother-in-laws 40th. If anyone wants free return travel from London to Northampton on the Sunday send me a PM.

i am also an overweight bloke in my early forties :)

hey mr tangerine man - can i be a pain in the arse, and ask you to go back to pinformer and update it based on what you found? the only reason it's out of date is that people don't update it. ideally we should all update it when we visit and everything is perfect (this will tell a new visitor that it was still there recently), but it's waaaaay more important to update with games that disappeared or venues that closed or games that got turned into coat-racks or whatever. if you click on 'update' and change the ones that are gone (under 'condition') to no longer present, it will save a future pinhead the same disappointment.

i hope we bump into each other, it's always a bit daunting seeing people that know other people. at some point i may have a baby strapped to me, if that helps with identification - come and say hello, i won't bite

Yes I'll have a look and update where i'm sure it's wrong.
This isn't you is it?

Hope a few of us manage to bump into each other. I'll try and update this thread on Sunday morning with whatever clothes I throw on that makes me a bit identifiable..

Just going for the Saturday. I will be wearing a Boards Of Canada t-shirt, which should make me easy to identify if anyone from here fancies a game of doubles. :)

Great show this year, seemed to be better than the last one IMO, Wizard of Oz, Metallica AC/DC right at the front, loads of real life TPA tables (Black Knight, Centaur, Black Hole, Cirqus Voltaire, Attack From Mars) Loads of the tables from the polls too such as Black Rose and TX Sector, couple of rarities like a Zaccaria "Circus"
Last year there were loads of Twilight Zones, this year loads of White Waters!
Also did anyone else see the "Volcano" set on fire? Apparently someone had just bought it as well!
A couple of pins weren't set up which was a shame (Adams Family/Theatre Of Magic) guessing they will be tomorrow.
Also Heighway Pinball are showing off Full Throttle tomorrow too. I'm not there tomorrow so if someone could show some pics of Full Throttle that would be great.
