Upgrading to iPad Air 2, advice on how to migrate TPA?

Hi all,
In a few days, I'll be a lucky owner of a brand new iPad Air 2, upgrading from my old and trustworthy iPad 2. This will mark the first time I'll migrate to a new device. I have read some horror stories about migrating, losing HOF points, high scores etc. I have frequently and loyally backed up locally and remotely through the options menu, is it as simple as installing TPA on the new device, log-in and Restore? Or do I have to go through the iExplorer on PC to hardcopy the app to my new device to be sure? Do I have to logout on my old device first? Any tips would be welcome because it would be devastating to lose all my progress on especially my hard-earned HOF points!

I used the itunes method when I did mine a couple of years ago. The cloud method seems easier though.

I don't remember signing out of pinball arcade or any of my games. I didn't lose any scores or achievements of any kind. Maybe I was just lucky.

But I would definitely recommend doing a remote backup from the pinball arcade menus before I did it. Just to be safe.

Thanks Kolchak357, I'll look into the iTunes method! I just remembered that in the early TPA versions, there was no remote backup, so maybe a lot of horror stories date from that time.

To be on the safe side, I still use the iFunBox score/table backup method. The scores and tables are in the Pinball Arcade/Library/Private Documents folder. Backup all files contained in this folder. The files are:

*.res: individual tables
*.dat: score files (there may be quite a few of these corresponding to various Farsight & Game Center accounts you may use)
*.bac: The score backup file created when using the Options/Back up save data within TPA
