Bug Upper left flipper in top playfield - Android

Managed to trap the ball under the upper left flipper on the top playfield.
Pressed left flipper to release expecting the ball to fall southwest on screen due to gravity, but the ball shot off north west like a scalded cat as if it was flipped.

got my highest score on BH by trapping the ball in-between the left flipper and the bumper for about 20 minutes. I just set the phone aside and waited until the score racked up...

The bumper didn't activate this time, and soon as i hit left flipper, the ball passed straight through the flipper as if it wasn't there.
