I've always played Pinball FX on my WiiU & later on the PS4. I own all the tables on that platform, but... since ZEN has released the "Covid Care Pack" and some other free tables, I now have 14 tables on my PC to play with. My CPU shouldn't be the problem (i5-4690K), but... since I am only using the CPU-GFX, I can't go above the lowest resolution to get any playable result.
I have a AOC Q3279VWFD8 QHD Monitor (2560x1440) which supports AMD Freesync, so I am considering buying an AMD card which matches up to this configuration.
I don't wanna break the bank just yet, but what would be a good AMD GFX card that could support 2560x1440 against a nice budget?

Any Radeon RX 570 should be fine for you. https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100007709 600100181 4017

I'm locked in to the Nvidia line with g-sync so haven't really looked closely at AMD cards. But you have 1440p monitor, which I also have. If you plan to run games well in that native resolution, from the little looking around, you'll need something a little better than a 470/570 (which sounds fine for 1080p). May want to look at Tom's Hardware buying guide, which is recommending a AMD 5700 for a 1440p monitor: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-buying-guide,5844.html

1440p is still pretty demanding resolution even with gsync/freesync technology to help out. For my 1440p gsync monitor with a 1070 OC card there's still plenty of games I have to turn down the graphic options to get a consistent smooth experience. Pinball FX3 isn't one of them though - but it sounds like there's anecdotal evidence it's supposed to be played at 60fps as is to keep the physics consistent - so vsync on.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your input :)
I do not intend to spend 400-500 Euro on a GFX card and a new PSU, which will be needed if I go for a AMD RX5700. An RX570 / 580 seems to be available for around 100 Euro's and is something my 500W PSU should be able to handle. And it will be quite an iprovement over the Intel HD Graphics 4600 being used right now.

A bit surprised though that Pinball FX3 would require so much from a GFX card. I din't expect that.
