What happened to multi-player?

I bought the game and a couple extra tables last fall, we use them for family night..on-screen multi-player. Last night we tried to play. Had game & system updates now we can't play multi-player. I wasted 3 hours of my life with Sony on the phone and at the end they said "Well it's possible PA disabled multi-player in favor of online tournaments". Is this true? I can't tell you how pissed I will be if it is!!! I bought the game to play with my kids...I don't want them playing online with people I don't know!!! If it was a free game then fine...but I have money invested in this and we can't even play together now. Way to ruin the whole family night concept. Big mistake on their part.

Pick the table you want and let it load.
Select game setup and choose the amount of players you want
Press circle to go back one screen
Go to the start button on screen.

I think one of the updates "broke" the ability to launch the game from the player number screen.

You're welcome. Not being able to play with a group really does kill the enjoyment a bit. Let us know if it works out if you get a chance.
Have fun :)
And welcome to the forum

Yep, my wife and I play TPA nightly and this is what we do to play 4 player pinball.
