What's better: Pinball or Children?

There was a question posed earlier about what's better: pinball or ladies? It's a rather pointless question, because you can easily have both. However, unless you make an ungodly amount of money, you'll probably have to make a decision: pinball* or children?

* I'm referring to top-rated tables, or new Stern (maybe JJ). Older and less-popular tables can still be had by parents.

I have an 8 year old boy. I have a Firepower machine. Both require cleaning, maintenance, and can be ungodly frustrating. One day I hope to complete the wizard mode on the boy. I'd like to flip my Firepower for a better machine. Can't say I'd do that with the boy.

I have no kid and I'm a selfish person. Kids take time and money which would drain my resources for my own personal desires and hobbies. Still want a kid one day just not until I'm more mature. So pinball definitely is and shall be more appealing for at least the next few years.

Simple - you can sell pins you don't like, and pins can be turned off. Therefore pins > kids.

I have 3 pinball machines and 0 children and I'm ok with those numbers (maybe need more pins if anything).

Damn I know some people who would be furious about this topic. Come on, children are the most important thing in the world are you guys crazy?
Anyway.... myself... got no kid and no pinball machine. And I don't have room for a pinball...
And a kid... on a serious note... with the money I make and the ****ed up world we live in I don't know if it would be a great idea having a kid...

I've got a 5yr old boy. Don't own a real table, and not much chance of doing so in the foreseeable unless the lottery pays out.

Had to break it to the kid, that he shouldn't expect a new Stern on his 14th the other day. He didn't look surprised.

Seriously though - nothing compares to being a parent. Took him swimming last night, we did an hour and a half and were starting to wrinkle at the finish, but he jumped in and swam a full width without armbands (float-aid) for the first time ever.
There ain't a pinball table real or virtual, made or yet to come that can make you smile like that.

Pinball is just a game. Life is real. ©(copyright for pending fridge magnet/bumper sticker).

I think you should have ratios of Pins +1 to kids.

I have four kids. Only one pinball machine (EBD), therefore I need 4 more pinball machines (One for each kid and one for me!)

Sounds like a good argument to make to the wife to get machine #2! Stern Star Trek, High Speed II....

It's a choice to have either, but you can't have a pinball machine by accident. I'm a father of two, both grown. My daughter has two children, and I can tell you having grandchildren is great, shoulda had them first. No tables, at least not yet. But, that time is coming...
Soon.
