Why Centreal Park?

Got the VPX running on my AtGames machine and one thing became apparent, Central Park sucks. There are a huge number of era tables back then that were less on automatic than Central Park. Is there a reason why they went with Central Park?

It was part of preserving pinball history. I don't recall what its claim to fame was though.

But yeah these tables are not fun to play for any length of time. But neat to check out.

Played a real life at Tom Taylors warehouse and two or three games later I had my fill. Most of the ones from the 50s-60 are like this. Very oddball table layout and flipper placement - some with no flippers or just one. They're neat to check out, and hear, but pretty boring.

Is there a reason why they went with Central Park?

Going by the table history (under extras), this machine was the first to encourage nudging. Try to see how much you can get away with before you actually tilt the table.

Still a shame, as some of the other designs I've seen are better and a lot more replayable.
