No it won't. Look at what happened to the original Xbox they shut the servers down and all purchases are lost forever. If that same thing were to happen to psn or xbla, then all of your purchases will be gone and there will be no way to back them up unless you can somehow hack the system. If you're using a PC there are certain programs you can use to back up data.In fact it's already happening but to a lesser degree. The Donkey Kong Country series on Virtual Console was taken down from the shop after the licenses expired. You could still download the games had you purchased them beforehand. I haven't heard of any cases where access has been totally revoked but we need to bear in mind that companies have the ability to do that, but they don't because like I said earlier, they won't have jobs if they do.
