On the latest version (with the Slot Machine LED fix) the Extra Ball light isn't always lighting up when you can get it - it does light up in some cases. If you hit it you're still rewarded the extra ball however. But you really have to listen to the "extra ball lit" audio cue to know when its available.

I'll also echo that there should be some more resistance on the roulette wheel plastic so the ball doesn't spin so much around it.

On our table, a full plunge has the ball do 12-14 revolutions on the roulette wheel before dropping in.

Hey Dave,

So I checked out the sensitivity of the pop bumpers on both the tables you mentioned, and you are right, they should be a bit more sensitive. I sent your post along to the guy at the studio who handles this. As for the Black knight ball locking issue, I have been trying to reproduce the error that you are having, but every time I go to lock the third ball, everything works perfectly. This is happening on the Black knight table and not the Black Knight 2000 table right? In the Black Knight table the black knight sound effect plays and all three balls unlock one by one. Are there any other steps I can try to reproduce the error?

Thanks!

Cool, definitely looking forward to the pop bumper fix for Genie.

Huh, so we'll forward along the flickering that happens in the decals like you mention to our art department. As far as the camera movement goes, i'm unable to reproduce the bug that you are getting in the video. When the ball is spinning in the roulette, for instance, my camera is locked, and won't let me switch between the others. Even when the balls leaves the roulette, and goes to the pop bumpers, my camera is still locked, however, the numbers change in the camera icon in the bottom left hand corner.

I also tried this in portrait, just in case, but I got the same result. I'll keep looking and see if I can figure out what's wrong with your camera.

Thanks!

Hey Atlantis1982,

Just letting you know, Mike is fixing the Craps game so that it will give the goal when the DMD says "Craps Completed". So in my previous post, you only need to do that first step and it should award you the goal.

Thanks again!

Hey Atlantis1982,

I'll be honest, I've never played Craps, but after doing a little research on how to win at Craps (which are also outlined in the instructions of the table) I tried it on the table and was able to win and get the goal completed on two different occasions. Please forgive me if i'm telling you what you already know, but here is what I did.

First, Hit the "Roll dice" target until it says "Craps Completed" in the DMD. (NOTE: this is NOT where the goal gets completed) The "Craps" light should now be lit on the table.
Next, you need to actually win at Craps, so keep hitting the "Roll dice" target until it says "you win" in the DMD. At this point you should get the goal completed announcement.

I'm not sure if you can complete the goal if you win craps while cheating. Let me know if this works, or if the issue persists.

Thanks!

I got this goal yesterday. Working fine here.

Yup. Same.

Yes!

If this means what I think it means... ohhhh lawwwd!
Edit: It totally does! Taxi looks normal! If only we could get a texture fix for the lighting on the right hand side plastic of AfM (just above the sling, but to the right of it) I'd be over the moon. But it happens across all platforms, though :(

Hey Shaneus,

Is there anyway you could post a picture of the texture / lighting issue you're talking about in AFM? I'm looking around the table and I can't see it!

Thanks!

Hi thanks again.
About the flickering: think it is no art issue, but some sort of engine problem. I did some testing the last two hours and could narrow it down to the following: it only happens in portrait!
It has nothing to do with 3D settings like post processing, aa, texture filtering, vsync etc.
Turned everything on and off without effect to the flickering. Always there.
Then I changed to landscape and: gone. Maybe in portrait you can reproduce it.
I have 1080x1920.

About the cam: in the vid I change the cam intentionally to view 3 because there the flickering is most visible. But at 0:10, after the ball leaves the roulette, the cam moves on it's own.

Edit: maybe it is related to this post http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php?t=8034 and also shaneus afm problem is in portrait?

Then the bug is its only doing 7-8 revolutions on full plunge. You need to make it do even more revolutions!

Kidding. Please don't!

I think we had it doing 12 and everyone felt it was too much. Our table is pretty new condition, the plunger is also aftermarket so the spring may be stronger than normal.

The flickering appears to be zfighting which happens when 2 pieces of art are too close together.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z-fighting

It can be fixed by spacing them apart, changing the z testing flags, or in this case, removing the polygons behind the instruction cards since you can't see them anyway.

Yeah I thought of this, because I had similar issues when I did some 3D modeling for my cab build with sketchup.
Just didn't know how to call it.

But strange that it is fine in landscape / desktop view.

I believe the camera is farther away in portrait. The farther you are from an object the worse it is for zfighting due to how the precision works. I told the artist, it'll be fixed in the next patch.

Very nice list of fixes. About time some of these bugs got fixed. Like the brides ball lock lamp... That's been there since launch. Centaurs pop bumper scoring issue since its release.

Overall very nice :)

Looks like I was incorrect about this.

I had thought the "lite roll'n'win" light said "extra ball" - but got a closer look at it and to my surprise it did not. I'm assuming the "extra ball" light is displaying correctly when triggered. It's just hidden in the table view I use.

Hmmmmm, It always happened when either the targets' timer was on or the galloping sound when plunging the ball into the upper playfield. Keep trying, it'll happen.

Thanks again.

Very cool, thanks for all the fixes!
I could make a list of tables where I noticed zfighting.

Need a favor from the twitch/youtube community:

Could you post some gameplay of Black Knight to show the ball locking bug? Thanks

Will do! I actually played AfM the other day and didn't notice it, so maybe it's only on the iOS version now (or it's been fixed). Either way I'll post in this thread to keep you posted :)

PS. Welcome to FarSight and the PAF forums, too! Hope your stay is a long and pleasant one :)
