It certainly affects CV on Xbox 360. That's the table I'm playing most right now, and following a completed game I'd say about 50% of the time that I hit new game it goes into the HUDless attract mode forcing me to go back to the "new game" ROM state from the menu.

It's difficult to imagine that TPA's successful Kickstarter wasn't an enormous impetus for this remake.

I wouldn't bank on this one. I'm not sure Microsoft have a mechanism in place for developers/publishers to issue leaderboard resets on XBLA titles. I've never heard of that happening in the past, and there have been other titles released with score-affecting bugs.

I don't follow your logic here. Were the game permitted to continue, the actual final score would be, at worst, the same as the score at the time of the glitch or possibly (almost certainly) higher. So if the idea of a high score is to record the highest points total that a player has ever been...
