This is the master issues list for Bram Stoker's Dracula. This thread is maintained to aid FarSight in exterminating gameplay bugs, art issues, and sound problems from BSD.

This thread is locked to keep it clean and focused on actual issues, as opposed to opinions about such issues. Report art issues in the Art forum, and all other issues in a new thread in this table's forum. I will add newly-reported issues to this thread at regular intervals. In addition, each bug has a link to the thread it was reported in; discussion of bugs should take place there.

Latest Updates:

27 Sep 2014
  • Created initial list.

Status key:
  • New - Issues that are newly reported.
  • Unknown - Issues from a long time ago that have not been followed up in a while so that no one really knows what happened to them.
  • Confirmed / Open - Issues that either I've personally reproduced, that so many people have reported that the existence of the issue is not in doubt, and/or that members have posted a demonstration (like a YouTube clip) of the issue.
  • Acknowledged - Issues that have been acknowledged by FarSight, but for which no fix exists yet.
  • Fix Pending - Issues that have fixed by FarSight, but the fix is in testing or submission process and is not yet available to players.
  • Fixed - Issues that have been resolved by FarSight. Note that not all platforms receive bug fixes at the same time, so an issue that is "Fixed" may still be unresolved on some platforms.
  • Could Not Reproduce - Issues that were reported, but the issue has not been successfully reproduced.
  • Working as Designed - Issues that are bugs or quirks in the actual table, as well as other issues that result from design or licensing constraints.

GAMEPLAY ISSUES:

51-001: Table autolaunches balls without waiting for player
First reported: 16 Sep 2014
Description: On the first ball of a game, and sometimes occasionally thereafter if a ball is served to the shooter lane, the table will autolaunch the ball without waiting for user input.
Devices: iOS
TPA Versions: iOS v3.10.0
Status: To be fixed in iOS v3.10.1.

51-002: Balls sometimes click against each other repeatedly
First reported: 22 Sep 2014
Description: If multiple balls are in the Castle lock or in the trough, they may make a repeated clicking noise.
Devices: iOS
TPA Versions: iOS v3.10.0
Status: To be fixed in iOS v3.10.1.

51-003: Game exhibits poor performance ("stutters") on iPad 2
First reported: 17 Sep 2014
Description: The table "stutters" and experiences reduced framerates on iPad 2.
Devices: iOS
TPA Versions: iOS v3.10.0
Status: New. No consensus reached on whether this is a confirmed issue or not as of 27 Sep 2014.

51-004: Acquiring tilt warnings while ball is in outlane voids bonus
First reported: 16 Sep 2014
Description: If the player nudges and accrues one or two tilt warnings without actually tilting while the ball is in contact with an outlane switch, the table may not award bonus, as if the player had fully tilted.
Devices: All
TPA Versions: All
Status: This is a well-known bug in the actual machine ROM.

51-005: Game prematurely ends multiball, allows multiball to continue with only one ball in play, or prematurely ends the entire ball when a ball drains in multiball
First reported: 16 Sep 2014
Description: Depending on circumstances, the game may: A) End multiball with 2+ balls in play. If this happens, the ball itself may end when the first ball drains thereafter, or play may continue in "single-ball" play until all balls are drained. B) Multiball may continue with only 1 ball remaining. If this happens, Castle Jackpots cannot be scored (because there is no second ball to score with while the first one is locked) but Mist and Coffin Jackpots may be scored normally. C) Multiball and the entire turn may end when a ball drains in multiball.
Devices: All
TPA Versions: All
Status: All 3 of these are well-known bugs in the actual machine ROM.
