FarSight recently produced a video in preparation for their Star Trek : The Next Generation Kickstarter Project. Look for FarSight to make an official announcement on this in the coming weeks.
The camera work is a personal annoyance of mine. I always hate that particular way of shooting a person speaking.
They definitely have headway but my main concern is that a lot of people donated and they were very generous. This was great but I for one can't give the same donation I gave for the Twilight Zone initiative and many won't be able to donate at all. Going to the well too many times too quickly and people will run out of money. Plus the mood amongst X360 supporters is disgust and frustration. Even if they understand it isn't Farsight's fault they are reluctnt to support. The Euro PS release should at least capture that demographic which was similarly upset with the lack of any release until this week. I just don't think it will be as easy of a kickstarter as some people have come to believe.
Notice that this video is not on Farsight's official YouTube page yet. My guess is they've had this video ready and are waiting to post it officially (and start the Kickstarter) until more DLC is available.

The good thing is, with us promoting the video in advance, more people will be aware of the ST:TNG Kickstarter Project ahead of time...unlike The Twilight Zone Kickstarter Project.

It would also be nice if they gave us some indication they are working on TZ. A screenshot or two would suffice, a short video would be even better, even if they're just "gameplay target renderings."
Since there are only 2 Pinball Circus in existance, and Modeling of the components requires dissasembly of each individual part. It is highly unlikely Farsight could get this one recreated in their usual manner. Perhaps at best they can get a parts list with a blue-print from the original designer and get it accomplished that way. Either way it looks like a fun table that would be amazing to have on Pinball Arcade.

According to the ipdb, this is what happened to the units: "Three prototype machines were made of this new pinball machine design. One had belonged to Steve Kordek and is now in the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. One unit was shipped to Germany for testing. The third unit is in a private collection."
It does look pretty cool, though. It's a shame it never got a regular release. Is the PHOF one playable? Can't imagine that something that rare and valuable would be available to the public.

My advice to Farsight is have at the very least weekly updates to their progress on the Twilight Zone table for everyone in order to raise moral for those that contributed to the kickstarter. Being too secretive and not keeping all of us well informed will hurt them for future kickstarters including Star Trek TNG.

There's probably not much to see right now. They're likely in the restoration and deconstruction phase (they said they bought their TZ in "decent" condition, which I assume means that at least minor repairs/cleaning was needed), so aside from the guts of TZ sitting on a table, I'm not sure what FarSight would show us.

There is lots they could show us. A simple photo of the workstation, a dissasembled table. The restoration process, etc. All of that would take them two seconds to take a pic, upload into a thread in this forum and post a one sentence description of the photo. Do that once a week and everyones happy.
No idea. I don't think IPDB is correct that there are 3 of them. Pinball Hall of Fame says there are only two of them, and they have one, so they probably have a better idea how many exist. "The Pinball Compendium" also says there are 2, the one that went to Europe, and the one that belonged to Steve Kordek.

It's definitely playable. I have had lots of fun on that machine. It's actually very fun and the bad part is it has a lot of depth to it and so much to accomplish but it is simply not possible to get all the time you want to have with it.
Well, it does seem like the perfect candidate for a pinball arcade transfering so everyone on the planet can enjoy it. Having Farsight take it apart to scan all the parts, would have to be approved by one of the two owners. However if there are blue-prints or drawings of the parts might be the only option if taking it apart is not allowed. A shame it was never mass produced. Let's hope we do see it inside this video game one day and preserve the history of it.

Yep, I'd find it fascinating to have a walk through of the whole process as well, I imagine large parts of the process would already be documented as part of the procedure anyway. It shouldnt be that hard to do, and would certainly help to maintain the anticipation people are feeling

There are a lot of kickstarters that just take the money and run, without doing do what they promised to do. FS should do everything possible to reassure potential backers that they are not one of those scammers.
Hadn't really seen any footage of Pinball Circus before so I just checked some out. Wow, that table looks absolutely amazing! Now that's a table that would be an amazing get by the Farsight folks. Can't imagine how they'd be able to do it though as they would have to have someone in Vegas several times to play the table to see how it matches up with the digital version, not to mention even getting access to the parts so they could model them. Would be amazing to see though!
Checked out Pinball Circus too. Some good videos on YouTube. The verticle aspect of that game really makes it appealing to me. Parts of it remind me of that old board game Mousetrap.
