Just a quick update for those in the U.S. with the Physical version of Stern Pinball Arcade for Switch. The 1.3 patch (which will bring it up to date with the digital version) has been approved by Nintendo and should be pushed to users in a couple of days.

Fantastic, this is another thing I've been waiting for. Thanks for the heads up.

I thought the usage of haptic feedback (Nintendo calls this "HD Rumble") in Pinball FX3 was phenominal. How does this compare to PBA? I was underwhelmed by the rumble features in Stern Pinball app compared to FX3.

I tested the Harley Davidson tables on Stern Pinball and Pinball Arcade on a Pro Controller and did not feel a difference. The ball hitting the bumpers, slingshots and flippers still feels nice though.

Nice to see you here swuth66, and thank you for fixing the DMD on the tables. Funhouse DMD still disappears when you shoot the Mirror for a but. Any news on when Pinball Arcade will come back to the Switch eshop? The sooner the better of course.

I meant that playing the Pinball FX3 app on the Nintendo Switch, the rumble is not generic. I could feel kickback from the flippers, bumpers, ball rolling across the table, etc. I was playing with the joycon mounted in the tablet but my experience with Pro controller in games like Mario/Zelda is that it is equally good.

The rumble effect in the Stern app just felt like a generic buzz, not too much different than all the other rumble controllers on other systems I have experienced. No real way to differentiate say a bumper and a flipper for instance, and I certainly didn't feel the actual ball rolling down the table.

Btw guys, I am jealous of you who got to download the TPA app on day one. Lucky...

Switch Version.

Ditto. If this gets the same "support" that Wii-U did, I'll be a sad panda... :(

I have already updated Stern Pinball Arcade 3 times now I think (last one was portrait/TATE mode) and I even updated TPA DLC and main ROM (for those lucky few who managed to get the "original" version on 4/6/2018), so rest assured I will continue to support Stern and TPA going forward . TPA should be available again soon, it's in the final stages of Lotcheck at Nintendo and will release in Europe and USA at the same time. As soon as I have a solid date I will let y'all know first :)

The PBA facebook account is telling people it'll be rereleased but with the Bally and Williams tables removed. So it'll be out before june 30 but with all those tables removed?
Why even bother? Season One would be almost eliminated.

Removing Bally and Williams table would require a massive reshuffling of tables for "seasons".

Seems to be true based on Facebook replies, though. Which sucks because I was really, really looking forward to TPA on Switch. But now it looks like I can just go ahead and uninstall it. No sense wasting space.

It depends on what they are going to charge for TPA on Switch now. With far fewer tables, and certainly not among the best, maybe a bargain could be had. Also, it looks like the Stern tables are coming out on TPA.

True, but I'm personally just not really interested in a gutted version of TPA on any system regardless of price. Might change my mind over time, but right now it's just completely unappealing to me, and I hate the fact that anyone who didn't get lucky enough to score them for the few hours they were up will never even be given a shot at them before the deadline.

And although it's kind of a seperate issue, I'm not too thrilled to see the SPA tables dumped into TPA. Because, well, why does SPA exist, then? I already paid for these tables on Switch. It feels kiiiinda middle-finger-ish, to me. I realize it was probably a panic decision they made in response to losing the WMS license, but man, I just don't like it.

Any chance of Stern Pinball Arcade turning into the standard Pinball Arcade on Switch? Stern tables will probably be a good chunk of Pinball Arcade with Williams leaving. I wish companies weren't so stingy about the switch.

Is there any chance it will be before TPA loses Bally/Williams on June 30th?

WHAT THE ****!

You can't be serious!?!?!?

Those were some of the best tables. No offense to anyone, but I'm not really a fan of Stern. The Williams tables were the best, followed closely by Gottlieb and Bally... :(

Swuth66, thanks for taking your time to reply. Let's hope TPA will also have portrait/TATE mode. But with Zen, Magic Pixel and others focusing a lot on cab it would be foolish not to implement it from the beginning in the Switch TPA. Too bad it didn't happen on PS4/XB1/PC.

I am so sick of williams not coming to the Switch. Why cant they give us a week or two to buy them all?

And planetary pinball made a very bad descision. Very selfish!
