It's still owned by the same families and is doing really well. They've shepherded the park through some rough times and IMO it's the best amusement park in New England.
Here's a nice article about the Pinball Parlor at Canobie Lake Amusement Park in Salem, NH. I've been there many times. For a long time, they had a rare working Hercules machine. That's gone, but the parlor has a lot of classic games...
This terrific expo was sidelined by the pandemic in 2020, and the organizers had planned to move the event to the Boston area. But to my surprise it returned to Sturbridge this past weekend. I went on Friday and had a great time:

I recently upgrade to an iPhone 12 mini and love it. But TPA doesn't seem to like it as much. The app doesn't know there's a notch in the phone, so the top of the table and some of the displays are cut off. Does anyone think the app will get an update in the near future?
I understand where you're coming from, and it can be really frustrating. On the other hand, Apple is always moving forward and has no compunction about leaving older tech in the dust. How long should they support older apps? Five years? Ten? At some point, the code will become obsolete and...
I did get a response from the Magic Pixel team. Apple now wants all games to be written for Metal. Zaccaria for iOS was done using OpenGL, and Magic Pixel doesn't plan on recoding it from the ground up. So starting with the next version of iOS (14), Zaccaria will no longer function...
When I launched TPA on Steam today and played a few tables, after each game I no longer saw high scores but instead a message box with the error, "The specified server could not be found." It would be a bummer if scores aren't saved locally and the TPA server is permanently offline. I hope...
This is now one of the first games I launch when I play TPA. I'm kicking myself that I didn't spring for the Pro version when it was available. 3 balls just isn't enough on this table. But it's really addictive. I downloaded the VP version as well and it's a much more realistic simulation...
