My 1st impression is not very favorable. I find the table horribly cluttered and the ball is almost impossible to see in the upper areas. It's difficult to see anything really, as far as where you're trying to shoot and what goes where. The sound problems have been addressed by others and I...
Invisi-ball - only visible as an outline, think 'Predator'
Chameleon ball - takes on the characteristics of whatever it touches for a few seconds
Thermal ball - gets 'hotter' the longer it's in play, going from cold to molten hot, perhaps streaming little bits as it moves
Someone mentioned Rush, and I think that would make a great theme for a table. You could battle the Snow Dog, storm the Bastille, fly into the heart of Cygnus X-1, drive a red Barchetta, so many possibilities all set to awesome tunes!
It should be fairly obvious that I'm from Rhode Island, which is an actual state and not an area of Long Island, NY (been asked that by real live people more than once). The smallest state in the nation, so at least there's that claim to fame.
Ok, last night I was playing Circus Voltaire and I swear that a ball shoot through the right side of the table. Immediately the game launched another ball into play. Has anyone else seen this?
I swear that in ToM it sounds like she's saying "Shoot the magic DRUNK". I know she's not, but it does make me smile every time and I have this picture of a 'magic drunk' that stumbles randomly around the playing field. That would be fun.
Will there be any original 'fantasy' tables developed? I think it would be really cool if FarSight took their knowledge and skill and created an original game - maybe something that could be 'won' as a prize?
