I discovered a useful glitch last night. at least I think its a glitch, ive never played star trek IRL. on ps4,not sure about other platforms, during multiball if you make a shot into the away mission, hit the x button (smart bomb) before it auto launches and the ball will remain in the plunger...

my 1st advice may be bad advice after all.(timing out the modes) the first modes are fairly easy. I don't think you can time out the later missions (level 2? maybe 3?) they make you complete them.

I think you have to perform a shot, I usually try to earn a bronze medal before going for the away mission.

I was talking about getting to the final wizard mode (five year mission) not points.

I find that going for the away mission during the nero mission isn't beneficial for me. its much easier for me to complete the shots, instead of going for the mini targets on the playfield. but that's just me. it might be good to time out some modes to reach the wizard modes, but that's not me...

I've had spa since its launch and I still haven't warmed up to acdc. It may be in part cuz I've never played one Irl, or that I don't like the band, or I find the playfield ugly. What ever the reason, I'm not really feeling this table.

it seems like the right orbit shot on hrc is fixed. ive only played it once (star trek takes up most of my pinball time). I was able to hit the right orbit shot everytime I tried. hrc (or any of the stern) was never my fav table so I cant say the tables are much more different.

played star trek for about 3 hours last night, the longest session of pinball ive played in a long time. pretty fun. im gonna play some ac/dc later tonight. ill prolly mustang when I get bored of these two, but that may be awhile.
