I got MAME to play Asteroids in all versions, even though we don't have the same kind of monitors with trails after the vector-graphics it still is the game for me; not really into any other retro game than Asteroids :D
They made the Nudge wonky? Man, gotta check it out again.... but basically I am just waiting for the release version and then make a decision on 'make or break' buying or not. That being said, I really feel like a cheater with TPA nudging.
Some people like SuperBand… Not saying I am one of...
And Assasins Creed covered up ancient classic statures in there Origins game because, you know, statues where naked!!! Yes, lets rewrite history - no nudity allowed, it makes you blind apparently…. :(
An overhaul of nudging would be welcome.
Played Zens Fish Tales and even though I would not want that exact nudging system it actually made me happy that it was allot less and more dangerous to nudge.
Well that and Matt told us it has been sent out with the wrong/old texture - not the release version but an old working version.
So we will soon se an update on this I hope :)
Good it got released for SPA. I'm not getting that though, waiting for the TPA variant...
But I will follow this thread to get the impressions and quality folk think it has - I've always wanted Rift support so I could lean around/about the tables to see better the shots and such.
A very interesting time: For me I am hoping for yet an other updated engine from FS, maybe some polish on the 'lost' tables although that would go under the umbrella of 'goodwill'.
How about that LoTR table eh :D
And 'gimp' the spinner on Jhonny Mnemonic, not fun having just one mode because it brings in most points.
And yeah, harder tables i.e. make em like the real ones.
Now I wonder how Farsight will treat our William/Bally tables, will there be any worthwhile update to TPA now? Ballspinn? Harder tables with complementing 'less-hackable' leaderboard?
And TPA as well as Zen need to give a good hard think about nudging.
I'm looking forward to Star Trek NG on...
Interesting. Will be a comparison between physics vs Farsight and Real tables by some of our experts soon I hope.
Yes indeed I can see myself playing both; since many here has double-dipped in different formats I don't feel too bad about doing the same for PC.
Now off to listen to the PodCast!
Dunno the Podcast online service you were referring too Jared but this #145 had very good audio.
Yup, would think Mandarin would be very useful, even for us Europeans. Well that and German and French and Japanese - see, I did not put Italiano in there, telling isn't it :D
How well does the slide and bumping mechanism feel compared to a real pinball machine.
How does the motors and stuff that will make the machine feel 'alive' work do you think - does it convey the bumpers vibration and other mechanical workings of the real machine compared to the emulation...
It would be really cool to get one of these for off-studio-time, but where to put it :P
Even though I'm itching to get one and take the plunge (fair chunk of change) I think I'd rather go fully VR with Pinball Arcade, even though one misses out on the motors and bumping mechanism of a 'real'...

You can play Pinball with Neutron2 too - I'll have to try that… but not today, if I do anything today it is serious mixing :P
Well I had a look at it and it seems like a neat little program for radio production on the go.
It really is too bad you don't have separate streams as that would probably do a ton of difference if this program can either take more channels in or run an instance on each stram.
Sure, the...
Can't come up with a free 'do it all', guess it is down to EQ and some Compression to make separation in the voice areas; and such tools can be found free, but those takes a little knowhow and hands-on approach. No wonder the soundengineers are still sought after :)
