True, but they pretty much destroyed that game in order to make it a normal table. Although having a nice lunch on a Star Wars table is better than shooting a ramp over and over and having a sore finger.
It reminds me of that one Data East Star Wars that they turned into a table. Like literally, they took off the backglass and made it into a table. You can't even play it.
So here's my final opinions on each table. Feel free to discuss my opinions; after all, I want to know what you guys think.
TFA Pros:
- Tons of depth. 12 modes, some side missions, and some multiballs.
- Fun left ramp shot that diverts towards either inlane or right to the right flipper for a...
Finally completed Scene 12 of the TFA table yesterday. All I will say is that the ending is very anticlimactic.
Also, after you complete the first round of Scenes, they require more shots to start and the physics of the ball become tougher during each Scene.
Ok, Force Awakens is freaking amazing. 12 modes that you have to play in order, tons of things you can stack, double scoring applicable through all modes, tons of multiballs... It may be the best Zen table yet, IMO it's up there with Han Solo and Infinity Gauntlet.
Zoltan Vari and Deep are my two favorite designers. The former because of how much physical pinball plays into his machines, and the latter because he creates machines with the depth and physics of a physical machine.
Ypok is definitely an honorable mention though. Starfighter Assault and...
All the points in JackBot come from multiball. If you know how to make those JackBot and Mega JackBot shots reliably you can rack up a huge score. The only way to gain scores that are even comparable is increasing the scores of each game to a huge amount (easiest to do with roll the dice in my...
TRUE THOUGH
So let's talk about table layouts. The Force Awakens table looks just meh to me, typical fan layout table; however, I will say that the transforming backgrounds on the table could lead to some really cool effects. If you're wondering what to expect, think the Joker platform on...
On the video preview of the table on the PlayStation YouTube account, people are making fun of Sony for "releasing pinball games from a million years ago instead of innovative, amazing video games"... even though Sony isn't releasing it themselves, another company is.
I'm excited for these tables but it sounds like there's a huge backlash on social media about these tables. Like people everywhere are making fun of Sony and Zen Studios for not creating a proper video game to tie in with the movie and instead making "a ****ty excuse of a pinball machine". I...
That backglass is horrible.
Regardless, Spider-Man is a really good pinball machine, and I'm glad to see that Stern thinks that as well. Hopefully the machine is a huge success in terms of sales and location play.
When I saw the title of this thread, I was expecting it to be a whining rant about "why Sony is releasing these games instead of actual fun video games!1!!". I'm surprised someone else besides me has the same complaints about the game.
The earlier tables are honest to god crap, V12 and Tesla...
:P Again I mostly stick to my Twitter account for info like this. I'm not sure why I posted it here.
If you want, you can follow me at @CaptainBZarre. I'm a much different person there than on the forum.
Extra balls can be lit through:
- 8x bonus (this one is really easy to get plus if you don't have multipliers held you can do it over and over)
- Enough right ramp shots (I think the first one is at 12 and the second is somewhere like 50)
- Warp Factor 8 (first time in a game only, after it...
Shoot for that right orbit and play Borg Multiball all day. It never becomes any harder to start and the Jackpot values carry over from multiball to multiball.
