So call me crazy but I think the Pro model is more fun. I recently had the opportunity to spend some time with one and it just plays a lot faster. Lack of TNT drop targets and no lower playfield makes a huge difference. The lower playfield is boring and really slows the game down.
Season 6 has been pretty bad but Eight Ball Deluxe and Swords of Fury are great, too.
Why are so many people suddenly saying Fire? Was there a hint in the stream?
Fire is a pretty solid System 11. I wouldn't mind it. Hell, I wouldn't mind if all of Season 7 was System 11. Radical, Mousin...
Not really sure how anyone can complain about getting SoF after the dire back half of this season.
This is a great table for TPA. It's kind of hard to find. A classic System 11, which lots of us wanted, a D&D-inspired fantasy theme, which we haven't really seen in TPA, an amazing sound package...
Goin Nuts
Black Hole (terrible adaptation)
Genie
Haunted House (another terrible adaptation)
Harley Davidson
Runner ups:
Cueball Wizard
Class of 1812
El Dorado SS
Central Park
Junk Yard
I hear you.
I wonder how many Zen haters have bothered to try their more recent tables? 2016 gave us some...
It's a beautiful mess. The playfield is just a rip-off of Whirlwind but with worse flow. The music is absolutely psychotic. The artwork is all over the place in quality. The callouts are a weird mix of actual samples and terrible soundalikes. The DMD has some strange things going on. The T-Rex...
I just don't get the love for Bad Cats. When it comes to missing System 11s, Rollergames, Swords of Fury, Radical, Banzai Run, Fire! and Mousin Around all rate much higher IMO. I'd rather have Big Guns or Game Show, too.
Oh well, taste is subjective.
Johnny Mnemonic > Congo > The Shadow for me, but I would definitely be happy to get any of them. JM is probably one of my most-desired licensed games.
So many great tables based on awful movies lol.
Pinball Arcade will not get VR support. Stern Pinball Arcade has a VR version on Gear VR. If/when SPA VR is released for other platforms (PC/PS4) it will most certainly be a seperate app from standard SPA and you will most likely need to rebuy the tables.
Things have been bad since the new UI was implemented. Unfortunately, the problems with SPA are worse. Farsight's workload must be immense. But you aren't really missing anything.
Attack From Mars is just a brilliant design tha translates very well to digital. Some designs don't, even with better physics, and some designs suffer terribly from the poor physics and railroad paths of Season 1.
We are fortunate that AFM holds up well, though.
I can't imagine Revenge From Mars is possible in TPA. It's not that great, either.
Orbiter 1, while neat, is not much of a game and I don't think the wowfactor of the magnet tricks would still be impressive in a videogame.
I use JoyToKey, it's free and lightweight and works perfectly. I have a USB arcade stick I installed sidebuttons on and that's what I play all my PC pinball with. It's worth the effort!
I found that, between my modded controller and my rotating monitor, I don't really need a virtual cab. You...
