    Farsight's Official Pre-1980 Poll

It's like saying that the 00's didn't start until '01. That doesn't make sense. The turn of the decade ALWAYS starts after a 9, going into a 0. The 80's begin in 1980, the 90's in 1990, and the 00's in 2000. Amen to that. I call for a redo without Xenon. I would understand the disappointment...

    Farsight's Official Pre-1980 Poll

Wouldn't Xenon be an "After Dark" table anyway?

    Bug: Highscore

If it doesn't register locally, it isn't a bug. Happens on any game with 8-digit scores.

    Farsight's Official Pre-1980 Poll

I wanted Fireball, but Xenon... Oh well. (Hey Farsight, might want to look into tap-passes...) EDIT: According to the IPDB, Xenon was made beginning on November 26, 1979. So it does qualify. http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2821 EDIT #2: ...but the Date of manufacture was one year later...

    Favorite pre-1980 table?

Here are the tables that will be used for the official poll: Centrigrade 37™ Fireball™ Flash™ Future Spa™ Joker Poker™ Mata Hari™ Paragon™ Royal Flush™ Spirit of 76™ Time Warp™ Xenon™ Still hoping for Fireball. We haven't had an EM with multiball yet, so why not?

    Best table to practice tilting?

Believe me, I used to think that, too. Now I can shake whenever, but I need to have limits and patience. I wouldn't recommend a specific table, but rather practice on nudging the table. Also, consider checking out PAPA if you want to practice shaking a real machine.

If they can get the rights to Pinball Wizard, it's definitely possible that Tommy is accessible.

I voted for Fireball, because EM multiball.

Black Rose 2 ball strategy. Boring, but effective

It may not seem so right from the start, but as you play, the value just keeps increasing to ridiculously high numbers. Most of my score came directly from sinking ships (2.09 billion), as I had sunk 19 of them in that game. Add to that the letters from the ramp shots. With that being said...

Black Rose 2 ball strategy. Boring, but effective

Best score is 2.7 billion. Haven't touched anywhere near for a long time.

    Starship Troopers Thread

Remember that the flippers look like this: So this is very possible that these colors and designs will be used. I wonder what will happen to the ROM, since it has the SEGA logo during Attract Mode?

Black Rose 2 ball strategy. Boring, but effective

Not really as effective as the Sinking Ships strategy. Consider 20M + 10M FOREVER! (Until the end of the game, that is.)

ROM Emulation For Currently Scripted Solid State Tables

FunHouse was updated to incorporate ROM emulation. As of now, Black Knight, Firepower, Gorgar, Black Hole, and some of the other early 80's Gottlieb games (Goin' Nuts, Genie) are scripted. The latter two won't receive updates on receiving the ROM. Space Shuttle has proper ROM emulation. Hence...
