I hate the original Pinball FX tables. Ridiculously tough shots, themes that don't make any sense whatsoever (why do I earn 44,444 points for upgrading a turbo?), and super unbalanced scoring (want to get a high score on Buccaneer? Just start Frenzy over and over). The Pinball FX 2 tables...
ohai
Surprised at the quality of this table's looks, I remember that Dr. Dude had a pretty terrible recreation of the art with dotty gradients. Even though I haven't played this one I am sure it is going to be in my "most played" list along with BSD, Ripley's, and HRC. Hopefully the physics are...
Fish Tales Like the theme and rules but the emulation of the table ruins it for me. Outlanes are vacuums and shots feel impossible to make. Not much to see here, don't buy this table.
Black Rose Pretty good table. Lots of depth. Theme is weird, confused me when I first saw the Williams promo...
Both HRC and BSD are in my top 10 Pinball Arcade tables because of the realistic emulation of the tables, although HRC is mostly because of the deep ruleset.
I would love it if there was some patch for Fish Tales that put the table's difficulty on par with BSD or Phantom of the Opera. I played...
Super Mario Bros. is quite a bit like BTTF in the fact that all scoring is unbalanced by the huge scores of the left ramp. However I will give it some praise in that it has a relatively deep ruleset and some good modes. I'm all in for this one.
In the PS3 & PS4 versions of Zen Pinball 2, the Pinball FX2 Core Pack is coming - and it's better than ever!
The 4 critically acclaimed tables that originally came with PBFX2 - Secrets of the Deep, Biolab, Pasha, and Rome, are going to arrive on PS3 & PS4 very soon. They just added trophies for...
Yep, I got to head to Lanes & Games again this Saturday. This time around they had 10 machines: no more Simpsons Pinball Party, but two newcomers had entered the mix: "Demolition Man" and "The Walking Dead". Without further ado, here are my impressions of the two new tables:
- Demolition Man...
Refined predictions:
1. The Phantom of the Opera
2. The Party Zone
3. Earthshaker
4. The Getaway: High Speed II
5. The Addams Family
6. Cyclone
7. Starship Troopers
8. Xenon or some other SS / EM (Fireball?)
9. Safecracker
10. Jack*Bot
By any chance what are your opinions on the Pinball FX2 Core tables? I love them, some of the best tables in any digital pinball game
I have stated that the Zen Core tables are pretty terrible. Unbalanced scoring, ridiculously hard shots, and overall very boring.
More South Park tables!
A Marvel "What The-?!" table that riffs on older Marvel tables and features elements from them
Marvel "Chronicles" packs - create 4 tables based on a character's battles and package them all together (ex. you could put in Kraven's Last Hunt & House of M in a Spider-Man...
ATM my high score on it is 25m.
Everything is unbalanced and unnessecarry besides Test Run Frenzy and looping High Speed Combos. Don't get why you have to complete every major luck based feature 5 times before you reach the wizard mode, which is basically a glorified Test Run Frenzy. Not worth...
