December 2013. LMAO. Screenshots still available here.
"We will be implementing a new and improved interface that will greatly improve the user experience in 2014!"
Well, maybe you guys are from the Rockfeller family, but I won't spend 520$ only for TPA (PS4 = 400$ + 4 Season pass x 30$ = 520$). I'm not interested at all by the PS4, I have still plenty of good games to do on the PS3.
The funniest thing is that the PS3 version is way more polished and has...
OK, finally did it. If someone has the same problem, there's some rules to follow in order to unlock this wizard goal:
- Stack the 69K pts bonus and raise the multiplier to x5 only with a single ball. Don't start a multiball.
- Once the bonus is at its maximum, lose the ball with a center drain...
+1.
Something goes wrong with TPA support. FS just releases a new table each month (well, not on PS3/Vita ^^), adding nothing, fixing nothing, improving nothing. It's like they don't care anymore, but just earn cash as long as there are still buyers. Until that people get tired of the lack of...
I can understand this (especially concerning the number of balls), but come on, add a simple clock in order to know how much time has been needed to put an highscore wouldn't be a huge thing to implement (and add the value to leaderboards). No need to mess with the Roms.
They did it for...
I haven't pay much attention to HS wizard goal until yesterday. 2 missing (250k ramp and 345K bonus).
I was suprised that the 345K was not done (it's very easy to stack a x5 multiplier and a bonus of 69K points).
Answer: the wizard goal is not awarded on PS3. I lose the ball, I see 69K x 5 on...
I feel ashamed for FS when I see that a weak free-to-play like Pinballistik (on PS3 too) has an awesome leaderboard system: for each highscore, there is the number of balls played (including extra-balls), the duration of the game, and the PPS average (points per second).
That's just perfect...
As I own only a PS3 and SCEE is the worst firm I've ever seen, I own all tables only when they are all available within a season pass (i.e. I purchase a season pass when all tables are effectively released).
So, basically, I will play TAF next Christmas. Maybe.
By "limitations of the system", I don't think it means about the game itself, but more the data structure.
Maybe the Vita can not handle too much patches, DLC, data additions (currently 30 table packs) and FS has to modify the data structure.
Just a guess.
Sony is known to have an awful OS...
Oh I understand. POTO has been available for a short time on the PS Store (only in US), but it was removed due to a problem with the Vita version and therefore the cross-buy stuff.
Farsight's quote about the Vita version: "We ran into some limitations of the system, so we had to do some...
Because it's a cross-buy game: you buy a table on PS3/Vita, you have automatically the other version for free. Desynchronising the releases of PS3 and Vita tables would increase the already existing mess. And there's surely some contract rules with Sony.
On PS3, the in-game purchase option is broken (something like ID products that don't match between the game and the PS Store, according Farsight).
The best way is to manually search the tables you want to purchase, directly in the PS Store.
Note: don't purchase the Season 4 pass, it unlocks...
Yeah, that's it. Don't hold your breath.
On PS3, after each new update (only 3 or 4 per year, as tables are added by group of 2 or 3), I check if the same 3 very old bugs have finally been fixed (among a lot of others):
- Yellow bulbs on CV don't light. (bug appeared with the megapatch lol)
-...
Officially, all versions are "equally" supported.
Quote from Mike Lindsey: "We bug fix on one platform and port fixes over. We try to fit as many fixes in as we can each release."
As far as I know, the PC version is the lead version now, and it's obviously the most polished version. All fixes...
Plus fixing the problem of data storage capacity on PSVita, that prevents to release any new tables on PS3 (as TPA is cross-buy between PS3 and PSVita). Result: we are in late of 5 tables. Yes, FIVE tables. No new tables since december 2014. Soon, in late of six tables, I see.
Nice finding. I'm too lazy to try this (and manage to do it ^^), and see if the exploit has been fixed in TPA (given that FS doesn't have the rights to modify a table or a ROM, I assume the exploit is still possible? )
An other way is simply to check the weekly and monthly leaderboards and see...
