Yes, Jake Lopez from Farsight promised all will be corrected in next monthly update. Nothing on the lower Playfield will close the gate once opened. (Kinda weird that my highscore so far of 6.9M was with the current configuration...go figure!)
Not many people know that on most real late model machines you can bypass the match by hitting the start button to begin the next game.(as long as there are credits ) Nobody does this because, of course they want to wait and see if they won a free game.:p
All of this stuff should be in the...
I got into Visual Pinball about 7 years ago. If you have a PC with a decent Vidcard they have some awesome reproductions of real-world tables. Best thing is VP is freeware, entirely maintained and authored by hobbiests. The guy who Farsight hired to do the ROM emulation for TPA worked on the...
Hi Gail. Nice to meet you. Dunno where you got the idea I never played real Pinball. I stated playing pinball as a little kid in the early 60's (Old Gottlieb woodrails with the "light-em-up" scoring backglasses.) The old EM's are nostalgic to play once in a while but they cant compare to the...
Black Hole sems to have been UN-Corrected as per the rules about what closes the gate on the Lower Level. You had it right last update and then with this new update you seem to have reverted back to the wrong rules. Also the upper level capture hole is very difficult to shoot now as well. I...
It's hard to understand why they would correct this rule only to "un-correct" it in the latest update. The actual rules of the real table aren't hard to find. Someone posted them on here recently.
I so far have scored 6.9M on this game and with the gate now set to close by hitting something...
Hiya Panootz . I remember you from VPforums! I have been playing TPA on my IPAD. I recently vacationed in Hawaii and I was glad to have TPA to keep me entertained on all those long flights. Gotta say, Black Hole is my favorite. Only played a real one once a long time ago and the VP8 version is...

Those 4 yellow lights on the Lower Playfield correspond to the 4 yellow drop targets on the lower right of the Upper playfield. They give 10x the value of an unlit target , so if you have all 4 lit on the lower as well as both accelerators, man you can rack up some incredible scores. ...
BLack Hole Bug
Pretty Much every Multiball there is a glitch ..... camera stays on lower PF all balls drain, game stops. Balls fly magically through glass on lower PF ..........missing balls after returning to top PF. Once in a while I get a normal multiball , but not often enough
Yes The pop bumper(s) on the lower level (down in the "Black Hole" as some refer to it) is Not supposed to close the gate according to the actual 'real-world' table rules. The Pop bumper(s) on the upper level , does close the gate as per the rules. Also only 1 Extra Ball per ball is given, no...
Since the latest update, it seems that you can only have 1 extra ball at any time, no matter haw many are offered up on the table. This is the same update that changed (fixed) hitting the lower level pop bumper closing the gate. So it's pretty much a wash in keeping the game challenging and...
I'm all for being 100% true to the real game. The issue was that the onboard rules say that you can have 2 EBs stacked. (just like the rules still say that a hit to the lower level pop bumper closes the gate) IMHO, I feel ALL the TPA tables are too easy, although BH is the least so. One EB is...
Since the update I can't have any more than 1 extra ball at any time. If I shoot the lit XTRA BALL Lane at top and also The Upper level Capture when the EXTRA BALL lite is lit .... I still only get 1 XTRA BALL
