The color saturation has been heavily increased... and that's all.
The playfield is still darkened, and that's a good thing. Unfortunately, it is still blurry/imprecise (the texts are hard...
Yeah, this red ambiance are awesome on ToM. Kind of "The Phantom of the Opera" style. :p
All the little details now visible (the stairs on the ramps), it's very well done.
Agreed. In fact, all tables look like their PS4 counterparts now (ToM for example), minus obviously the special lighting...
+1, better than a time attack.
And even a one single play... like in a real tournament!
Or if there are 3 plays, only the last achieved score is saved: let's say you score 2B on MB on your first game, but you think you can do better. But you score only 1B on your second game. The 2B...

One of my favorite tables in TPA. Too bad that the screenshots don't render the excellent job done on the overall lighting. It's a simili-night mode, like if you play under a dim and warmy light... like in...
Why? Isn't it a good idea? Time attack rules!
I hope it will be activated for this PSN tourney.
By the way, the all-time tournament ranking (tournament menu then square button) has been at last fixed (with the megapatch I guess).
But the "my score" filter doesn't work, so you have to scroll...
Sorry guys, I tried to take screenshots directly on my TV of the updated tables, but the result is very bad... :(
So, here remains all S1 pre-patch tables screenshots (from youtube PS3 videos - I tried to find the best quality). As I used some of his stuff, thanks to Croooow111.
If someone...
You're welcome.
Actually, the first screenshot is directly captured from a youtube video (there's plenty of good quality video of the pre-patch PS3 version).
The second screenshot comes from the PS4 version, but now, the PS3 is close to that -more yellowish, though- (except the overal lighting...

EDIT: PS4 screenshot. Remove the "zonal" lighting effect and some reflection FXs, and you have the new look of the PS3 table.

And HD. If you play only the bumpers to visit cities (in order to reach Milwaukee multiball), the game can last very long (+easy rider and video mode).
Played a game of ST:TNG after the megapatch, and it seems the left outlane eagerness has been toned down. No more this...
Yep, sorry, I forgot to precise that all my 10 S1 packs are the standard ones (no pro versions). So, I'm assuming too there is some problems with the pro versions.
You're right, no problem if you download the S1 bundle from scratch (I assume that in this case, both standard and pro bundle work)
I updated TPA the safest way possible:
- I downloaded the patch (391MB)
- I played the four core game tables.
- Then, I quit and went to the PS Store.
- In my Download History, I downloaded the first DLC table pack (MM/BoP) and only this one.
- I quit the PS Store and launched TPA.
- I played...
I liked Nintendo in the past. NES-SNES of course, but particularly during the N64 era, when there was a very small number of games, but some jewels in it (actually, all Nintendo and Rare games which were pure enjoyment and are still considered today as ones of the best games of all times)...
OMG, it's a resurrection!
Totally unexpected!!
I think this is the safest way to update too. Download the patch, then queue all packs via the PSN Store download history. Not updating via the game menu.
Well, I'll check tonight, hoping that all goes right.
By the way, strange that the...
The US patch (i.e. the core game datas) contains the two first DLC packs (MM/BoP and CV/FH DLC are just unlock keys in US store), unlike the EU version. That's why the patch is smaller for europeans.
Better and better...
At this point, I think that SCEE makes a middle finger both at FS and us. The only little hint of hope is that SCEE didn't answered FS that the megapatch is rejected (yet?)...
Well, I think this famous sentence is legit now: "I'm done with TPA until all this mess is sorted...
I wouldn't rely on FS statement, as it sounds as generic as Jawad ones.
"The patch will be released next week. Or the week after. Or the week after. Or maybe the week after."
