Well, considering I conducted 2 interviews with Bobby King during the first 2 years of TPA for BlahCade Pinball Podcast, that in addition he answered questions via email that we collected from this very forum on numerous occassions, that Mike and Norman have both been frequent guests on the...
Okay, time to get back to some normalcy. Unfortunately I can't call up the results from our Jurassic Park tourney. Guess there's a time limit on how long Zen let's you see that sort of thing. So on to a new tourney!
We'll be playing Sorcerers Lair, which I always ignore probably because it is...
Eldar did a great job of answering all those questions. I'll clarify a few.
FarSight employs 25 people I believe. There was a group photo taken of the entire team recently that confirmed this.
Norman retired. He didn't quit, he wasn't forced out. His primary focus was audio, but he was also...
Yeah, I’m sorry gang. The week prior I was consumed with prepping my son in getting his 1st degree black belt ( which he did ). From the highs of that we immediately sank to the lows of him having to suddenly see doctors and then get admitted to a hospital. I’ll explain all when things settle...
Since the initial post, I have figured out the scoring a bit.
At the end of game you'll notice in addition to your actual table score, there is a ball bonus and time bonus. If you play and lose all three balls, you won't get either of those. If you play until the timer ends and score less than...
The name of the app is ‘Pinball Tournaments’, so just search that in the Apple App Store and it should be first thing listed. Not available for Android.
So who out there is playing the app Pinball Tournaments that FarSight put out using the Skillz platform? Now that there are some players on it, I'm starting to see how this can be fun and maddening at the same time.
The tournaments are very short, so that makes it fun. I'm starting to...
All those people that wanted quality over quantity finally getting their wish. FarSight is going to have no excuses and will be held up to Zen's standards. Dancing on the razor's edge, have to see what happens.
Also noticed that Norman is retiring, and he was the main influence for what tables...
Wait, so of the 4 movies I'll be seeing this week, I already saw the best reviewed one with 'Thoroughbreds'? Bring on the mediocrity. I'll let you know what I think of 'Wrinkle' in a few days.
The trick is to either not follow that many accounts, or turn off notifications from those you are only semi interested in so you are not inundated. Apart from that, just check out our site instead in a regular basis.
Tell ya what, you can take one for the team and see it, then let us all know if it is a must see or not. I'm gonna do my part by watching Hurricane Heist as one of my films next week which looks equally terrible. Deal?
FarSight has said they made inquiries with Warner Bros about multiple licenses, both block purchase and individual, but they were asking way over what other studios wanted.
Okay, since it is what I really wanted to play instead last week...Jurassic Park with 1 ball is what we'll be doing. No wizard, skill shot and combo bonus time are pre-selected upgrades. 5 day tourney.
My initial thought of giving the bonus for placing in top 10 for all 5 challenges was to encourage people to play. I kinda get that it might have worked opposite of that! I also felt like I'd reached more than my fill of Moon Knight by the end. I'm liking the idea of throwing out the low score...
Stern definitely has the digital reproduction terms included in new licenses they acquire. The mystery is how far back they started doing it, most agreeing that it'd be right around Metallica, but not sooner. When they re-up to do a vault edition, those terms are now included.
