Blade Runner is extremely acclaimed by film critics. It's #69 on the Sight & Sound critics' poll, which for my money is the closest thing to a consensus best list. I think it's rather extremely overrated, though I haven't seen it in some time.
Citizen Kane isn't my favorite Orson Welles...
Hey SYT, here's a movie for you...
Wavelength is a 45-minute film that made the reputation of Canadian experimental filmmaker and artist Michael Snow. Considered a landmark of avant-garde cinema,[1] it was filmed over one week in December 1966 and edited in 1967,[2] and is an example of what...
You can be a serious movie fan, sure. But if you've shut out those rather enormous categories of films (I don't know if you have), you can't be a serious movie critic. You can still be a serious action movie critic, I suppose.
There's nothing wrong with that. Many all-time best movies are...
I don't remember much about SC, but fwiw, it has two web leaderboards: the regular one, and one for Assault on the Vault.
At least the current beta testers have played SC-AotV, if that is 3-ball untimed mode :). Is this what you get when you use one of the prize tokens to get a credit, instead...
I'll hold you to that :). I'm mostly deaf (over 70% hearing loss in both ears), and listened for awhile, but I can't figure out half of what you're saying, or any of what the other guy is saying :(. It sounded like the 1st question was about TPA having 2 more seasons confirmed, but my poor...
I vote for going from random groups of four players, to having an A and B division, and those being the two groups. With A division having 8-12 players. Maybe a C division also. Promotion and relegation of two or three players per tourney.
I vote for playing in December as usual.
I vote for...
$25 for AC/DC or Metallica.
$9 for KISS.
$7 for Elvis.
$3 for Rolling Stones.
More if the sound quality of the songs is very good.
More for KISS if it has Tears Are Falling or Heaven's on Fire or Lick It Up.
More for Metallica if it has One or Jump in the Fire.
More for Rolling Stones if it has...
I revisited CBW last night to try Zaphod's trick. It seems nice, and I got the 500M 2 or 3 times, but got only 2.9B, just behind my high score of 3.0B. Anyway, I'm just blabbing, I have a couple of questions.
Are we sure that hitting the 8-ball shot during Pool Ball Mania locks out the trick...
Since PotO has been such a pleasant surprise for me, I've been wondering if there's another good DE alphanum that I've been avoiding. I played Lazer War when it was new (I don't remember it), & never have seen Time Machine to my knowledge... the others are Secret Service, Torpedo Alley, Playboy...
The backglass isn't any worse than other DE/Sega/Stern backglasses (except PotO), but anyway... it's a fine game and deserves more attention. I'd like to see it too.
