It's a speculation thread. I don't think the newsletter is even out yet. I don't think I have ever guess correctly on the next pin. Why believe me now?
I haven't seen the newsletter yet. Sadly, I was just adding a guess to the thread. No inside knowledge here.
I'd love Fathom though. A great pin that I think would translate well to a digital version. A collector favorite that I wish was more common.
Only played Godzilla twice at a pin show a few years ago. I've heard people say it grows old on you pretty quickly, but I thought it was a blast in my limited play. Great theme! If you see one, definitely give it a go.
I hate when the outlane save fires the ball back into play, and then it just bounces right back where it came from and is gone. DaVinci seem to do this often.
Huge, too pointy, and are too upright when holding them up. Why not just standard Williams style flippers and flipper action? Trapping is way too easy and they are so close together. Creates games that can go on forever. I think they wanted to keep it a little child friendly and the game...
Their flippers were always a turn off for me. The tables were very simple for the most part. I tired of them quickly. Still ok for a play every now and then though. I liked the Slayer pin and the Halloween themed one was fun.
I've played it several times at Pinfest. The first time it had licensed music including the Bob Dylan song used in the movie. The next year that was removed. For me the theme is much better than the pin. Still has good callouts and clips from the movie though. I didn't love the gameplay...
My favorite is Family Guy and that is very much a matter of theme.
But given the list, hmmm. If I walked into an arcade that had all of these, my first quarter would go into Tales From The Crypt. It's a pin you don't see very often, and it's just fun. So it gets my vote.
I think Twilight...
