Since I'm not a PS3/4/Vita/X360/XONE owner, the release schedule for these consoles is only something I tend to notice in passing in the background. I can understand the frustration though. Probably similar to, but maybe somewhat more annoying than, the Skyrim DLC which was X360-exclusive...
Actually it's just different ways of handling that communication.
Farsight are very much about "this is what we're doing now", each month's table is on the front burner and in development in the preceding weeks, and they will from time-to-time give peeks into the build process.
Zen, it...
Right now in the Google Play Store, TPA is rated "T" for "Teen" - mainly due to the content in Starship Troopers. I believe it has an equivalent rating in the iTunes App Store.
That pretty much puts the nail in the coffin of PAD, which at best was a good idea that should never have been...
Not been mentioned anywhere yet, but FS are doing their Safe Cracker Twitch stream tonight @ 4pm PDT (7pm EDT, midnight BST, 1am in the rest of Western Europe).
They are then handing the feed over to Buffalo Pinball who will stream play of the real thing!
As usual head to...
Listening at work right now ...
... anyway, any chance of a transcript of Bobby's answers for those who can't/won't listen to the Podcast?
And for those of us who did listen anyway but then listened to the remaining hour plus and, well, forgot pretty much all of it in the intervening time...
Fair point, Halloween is IMO a non-consideration anywhere - most people stay home! at worst we're interrupted by trick-or-treaters.
End of November (Thanksgiving) is unique to the USA, everyone else it's just the last weekend of November.
Christmas/New Year is a different thing, that's busy...
What has been mentioned elsewhere in this forum, is the possibility of FarSight outsourcing the EM / early SS table licenses they have from Bally/WMS/Gottlieb/Stern. Naturally ASK came up as the logical first port of call. I'm sure that might be a fun project for someone!
I'd be okay with $10 for any modern Sterns, not just the "music" ones. $10 for Star Trek, Walking Dead? Why not?
$10 would probably not happen though - I'm thinking $15 would be a sweeter spot for whoever did them, not necessarily for the consumer mind.
Season 3 has had 3/24 (12.5%) of the tables so far. So it is a touch under-represented (since 10/59 = ~17% of all tables are in S3).
0 tables from Season 4 is definite lack of representation, though!
Season 4's back end has been very strong. TAF, Cyclone, Jack*Bot, Xenon, Road Show, Safe Cracker. The worst of those 6 is Xenon and we know whose fault it is that Xenon made it into the line up ....
Between BlahCade, Safe Cracker, and the first hint for Season 5, this may be the most exciting week for TPA since the TAF Kickstarter was announced.
Maybe Farsight need to be aware of this and crank their (social) media relations into as high a gear as they're capable of and publicize things...
