BlahCade 30: U Interested in a New UI?

I knew we'd be beat up if we failed to ask any Stern App question, but I also knew they probably couldn't answer any. So when they did, I was like, "Sweet!". 15 minutes later we got an email asking if we could remove the answer. *sad trombone*

Table of the Week Club...Week 39: HIGH ROLLER CASINO

It's a one day tourney that takes only as much time as two play throughs would. Just sayin' it's real easy to squeeze in.

Table of the Week Club...Week 39: HIGH ROLLER CASINO

I agree, this table is surprisingly fun. No outrageous scores yet, but I'm not cursing it out either.

Table of the Week Club...Week 39: HIGH ROLLER CASINO

Take a gamble in week 39 and play High Roller Casino! So I live in SoCal, and as soon as I turned 21 my friends and I started doing runs to state line. Somebody would get the brilliant idea to suddenly wanna drive 3 hours to the California / Nevada border so we could gamble, and nothing sounded...

    Left Ramp

Truth be told, this table requires very little nudging. And getting Atlantis is a whole hell of a lot easier than Frog Frenzy. Here's the trick to getting continents: Shooting the right ramp lights the vari-target hole for continent start. Once you shoot that, you'll need to shoot the right...

    Left Ramp

There are only two ramps on the table. The right ramp, which relights continents, and the left ramp (dead center) which sends the ball up to the slot machine lanes to light gems. That's it. The area to the left is an orbit. The upper path of the orbit dead ends to the Super Jackpot. The lower...

    New UI Open Beta

By the way, when the next BlahCade drops on Tuesday, the UI build is talked about exclusively with FarSight for the full show.

    New UI Open Beta

Graphics don't play a part with build issues. We're talking about a front end that mines a lot of data. They rewrote code, dumping more than half of what they previously had written and starting from scratch. This is designed to allow the game interface to grow if need be. This affects...

Table of the Week Club...Week 38: VICTORY

That is if you have no problem maxing the multiplier. Doesn't come easy for me. I know the theory of the table, but putting into practice is a whole other problem!

You can own ONLY 1 TABLE !!! Which one ???

My gut reaction was to say Whirlwind, as that's the one I really want to own. However, given the parameters of the question, I think not. Addams Family is a really good answer, as it's not just fun to play, but it's a really good looking pin. I also think Metallica would be great, as it acts as...

    New UI Open Beta

The PC beta is open to the public. You have to right click Pinball Arcade in your Steam library, go properties, and then select the Beta tab. We just interview Lee and Ben of FarSight for our next podcast. Lee did the graphics, Ben the programming. They said we'll be in beta for probably a...

What do YOU play pinball for ?

I play pinball because it is an itch I have to scratch. I can play for 10 minutes, I can play for 2 hours. I just easily fits into my schedule. How I play, that's slightly different. In real life, it's all about playing as long as I can and hopefully getting a replay. In TPA, it's about...

Table of the Week Club...Week 37: GORGAR

I just tried this method after reading your post, finally got my 500K wizard goal that was eluding me. While I'm not scoring high, that method at least gave me a fairly consistent score each time.

Table of the Week Club...Week 38: VICTORY

Suck it, Victory. Finally got that stupid FUEL goal, and same game got the 30+ million score. Same conclusion though: good, interesting layout with balanced flipper shots, but a terrible 'game' unless you enjoy countdown timers.

Table of the Week Club...Week 38: VICTORY

In regards to EB come TotM time: If you collect the ball in the saucer and then get the ball to plunge, that you will be able to play. I totally agree that it is just a 'ball save' that goes on for a very long time! Within the game itself, if you lose your ball, the ball ejects off the saucer...

Table of the Week Club...Week 38: VICTORY

I'll admit it...this is probably the 'most fun' of the Gottliebs we have. I say that dancing on the razor's edge, as it's the layout I like, not the gameplay. I really loathe countdown timers, and apart from the FINISH targets, everything is ultimately a countdown. Still, this really is the...

Table of the Week Club...Week 38: VICTORY

Is it just me, or is the tilt on this table exceedingly sensitive? Playing on PC, over half the time I nudge, it winds up being a tilt. I'm not nudging any differently than I do with every other table either. Although I will say, I have the same issue with Big Shot. Anyway, bugs the crap out of...

Table of the Week Club...Week 38: VICTORY

As I've yet to get the extra ball, I'll have to see if it's a plunge situation or not. If it's not obvious what's going on, we may just play it.

    October TotM Groupings and Results

Happy to see there's still enthusiasm for this. Our numbers have been down, but this group that is showing up, always brings it. As long as you guys are happy playing, I'm happy hosting.

    October TotM Groupings and Results

There were a few of these, where it was either a bracket of a lot of low scores, thus the person that won would never have won in any other bracket, or a bracket filled with high scores that even 3rd place would have taken 1st in any other. And that's what I love about this tourney!!
