Makes sense. Yeah, it used to only work if one of the inputs was coax, so what I did was ran two outputs from my directTV box: one HDMI and one coax so I had HD when I wanted TV only, and then the coax input for PiP when I was playing video games on another HDMI input.
I was curious about why...
That sounds awesome. Wish I had something like that. I also really miss having Picture in Picture mode on my TV. Shame that all the manufacturers did away with it to cut costs. When I got my first LCD, I used PiP all the time for playing video games and watching TV at the same time, but my last...
I do these days as well. For some reason, my mom always seemed to buy these by the crate though. I think they were insanely cheap back in the 80’s. The leftover juice at the bottom was always the best part.
Oh snap. I remember the first time my wife did that and she thought she could kick the...
This is basically a sidenote post, but as a baseball geek I’m compelled to reply: There’s no exclusive deal for MLB games any longer either. 2K used to have the exclusive deal, but that expired a few years ago and they chose not to renew it and they shut down MLB 2K completely. Sony was always...
As if second-hand smoke wasn’t bad enough, let’s fill the room with other random, hazardous chemicals jammed packed into this little tablet!
And it wouldn’t be the 70’s without incense:
It even fools other bats! ...and the contents of that “horror outfit”, heh.
Picked up a couple odd gems at a local bookstore fire sale:
I love the ads in these 70’s comics. I know what I’ll be doing this summer! Gotta get me a pair of these “Shoe Skates”:
The quotes at the bottom :D
Speaking of which, the origins of "60 Seconds of Rage" later in 1 year anniversary, and some good laughs all around:

I think this was also around the time when I was told I sounded like Bill Simmons, which I can hear now...
This was the first time we used AC/DC's Big Balls, the 1 year anniversary of the show. The stereo panning effect I used on the sound bytes is pretty cool if you listen on headphones:

Plus, me being a master procrastinator, it would take me a week or two to edit!
This was when I first started messing around with the intros, so I hadn't settled in on the blues song yet.
I think the ep 10 intro was the first time I used it...
I think this is the intro from the last "barcade" episode before we got the cease & desist and had to change the name:

It's funny to think that we were only 8 episodes in before the name change.
Haha, true, but we had a good time, and I did have a lot of fun editing the pin sound effects together and putting my audio production skills to use. You gotta admit some of my mashups were pretty sweet! Pretty sure I still have some of the files. I’ll have to see if I can find any of the good...
I always wondered about the electric bill for arcades. I know just for one pin, I can go online and see my current electric usage and it spikes way up when I’m playing (maybe the old pins were less efficient and used more juice?). I couldn’t imagine how much electricity the huge arcades guzzle...
