    iOS & Android: Quantic Pinball

It's safe to say this will be better than Goin' Nuts. There's more than one table, so instantly better.

    New UI Discussion

You're talking about the interface on Pinball FX2 (thats what Zen Pinball HD is called on PS3, right) being made for mobile? If it sucks on console, then I'm not excusing anyone. I do think you should probably wait until you actually experience the interface (that is, *actually* use it with a...

    New UI Discussion

How does it differ from Zen on consoles? Is that interface more or less usable? Not trolling: just want to get an idea of UX in competitor products. :-D

    FT Beta?

Estimation: Six to eight weeks... :-P

    FT Beta?

When I spend credit from an Australian Google Play card (that is, purchase an app originating from the USA), the purchase is subject to exchange rates Google set. So I would be paying about $35 for a $30 Season Pass.

    FT Beta?

    The 12 Days of Christmas:

    Sweet! Three great tables.

    The 12 Days of Christmas:

They are two separate tables. They aren't going to overwrite the existing black knight, which is what you're suggesting.

Re-release buggy tables instead of fixing them? CV2?

If you were a developer, you'd know that doing what you wanted would be six to eight weeks. http://meta.stackoverflow.com/a/19514

Single table releases - are they going to be the new normal?

We haven't even got a table builder yet. To quote Will Smith in ID4 "I don't hear no fat lady"...

Single table releases - are they going to be the new normal?

I'm still waiting to see what dropping a table from each month will do to throughput, Baron. Halving the workload will make a difference. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt before discounting their ability to deliver quality using this new model.

Single table releases - are they going to be the new normal?

How can you be *certain* there will be fewer people working on TPA? Let's see how they go with the first three tables and then we should be able to see the pattern.

    Higher pitched music/sounds?

Other reports suggest they have for the PC release. On mobile, even the older Gottlieb tables like El Dorado and Genie have really hissy and poppy audio.

    Higher pitched music/sounds?

Check the sticky thread in the Android forum for details about how the sound system works in TPA. They record the sounds lossless direct from the machine ROM originally. Sounds are then compressed to suit the constraints of the platform. I think they are being a little aggressive with the...

Request [iOS] [Android] Increase the audio compression bit rate for better-quality audio

Apparently Farsight is looking into the audio quality issues (see the sister thread about audio pitch). No official word as yet.

    FT Beta?

I think there may be nondisclosure compliance issues if Android was first. This would be easier if mobile deployment was handed using TestFlight, or another cross-platform deployment system that was invite only, but not restrictive like the tester limits on the iOS ecosystem (in past, the 100...
