Yeah, I've also had problems with the rubber on the sticks wearing out. I still think the PS4 controller overall is better quality when brand new. Both my Xbone controllers drive me nuts when playing Madden for instance (the right stick will get stuck in one direction which is really infuriating...
Welcome! You're in for a real treat as the tables play much, MUCH better than the hall of fame and the graphics are of course vastly improved as well...and of course the sheer amount of tables is simply mind-blowing.
As someone who owns both the Xbone and PS4, I would definitely recommend the...
As Eldar said, when it comes to game performance, it really depends on your graphics card. The PC version provides much better graphics than the mobile version, so it does require more horsepower, but you can get by with a fairly cheap PC just as long as it doesn't have intergrated graphics...
One of Jay's favorite side-hobbies is to dress up in a bigfoot costume and roam the woods in order to attract more tourists and bigfoot seekers to the area in an effort to boost the economy. Looks like it's finally paying off!
The ball in TPA still only reacts to the geometry on a flat surface though, so I wouldn't think that would limit the physics engine (if anything, it would enchnace it). The 3D environment only makes a difference graphically-speaking as far as I know.
If you look at PHOF vs. TPA current physics...
Good points, but do either of those affect the physics engine in general? It doesn't seem like they would. ROM emulation requires more CPU, but I mean Pro Pinball ran on Windows 95 machines, so their advanced physics engine requires very little resources. I guess the Barnstorm guys were just so...
I've been asking this same question for a loooong time. With each passing year, it becomes more and more mind-boggling how companies like Farsight haven't caught up to 20 year-old physics tech.
I think so, but have only used it on PC so not sure. The only problem I can foresee is configuring the buttons, which might not be possible on consoles. The defaults almost certainly aren't optimized for pinball (most people buy them for fighting games).
I have to say the Monthly Bundles are insanely good deals as well. Just got XCOM 2 and several other games all for $12. Each of the other titles are highly rated on Steam, so the value is crazy.
