While this might show what is currently being played, it obviously is not indicative of sales. Especially when you consider there thousands of scores on many tables in the leaderboards, and more than 10,000 on some.
I can almost guarantee that either Stern or JJP are going to have this license. I also doubt they'd wait for all of them to be released. Strike while the iron is hot, not when it's cooling down. My guess is Stern will get it, as they have proven they can put out a product on time and in mass...
It's been a long time since I was 17, and the above posters have given some good ideas. Here's mine...
- When walking around, be it at school, the mall, wherever, keep your head up and make eye contact with everyone you pass. Wear a slight smile, like you know something they don't. Back in my...
Mark, you do this all the time. If you are actually going to be so bold as to make a statement about sales, post the source of this info. If you cannot do this, please refrain from constantly making such statements.
Over in the super patch thread there are all sorts of tips and tricks guys have been using to get most if not all the tables running. No, it's not convenient, usually involves deleting and reinstalling the entire thing, but it works. It does seem the Pro upgrades are causing issue, don't know if...
It's funny...
I set this poll up after the first podcast, because I simply didn't know what a good length of time for these was. Just posted our 7th pod, and once again it tips the scales around the 80 minute mark! Clearly we ignored the poll results :D
Here's the thing I've discovered. We...
Big treat for everyone in this edition of the Barcade. Norman Stepansky, audio director and producer at FarSight, sits down and discusses buying tables, audio quirks, Pinball After Dark, and more. Also Jared has tales of San Francisco, and Bonzo files a new Germany report, that somehow lasts...
Oh, I'll get you started! Fincher was hired 2 weeks before they started filming, so it's not like he had some grand vision for the project. The 'wooden planet' script got tossed, but the sets were already built, so everything just had to be shoehorned in so the pieces would kinda fit. That being...
I agree, I can't stomach watching T3 again, but Salvation was alright. Which is the problem, being just 'alright'.
As for just leaving it alone, I think there are interesting stories to be found. The problem is continually trying to tie into John and Sarah Connor with new actors. Tell the tale...
I would ultimately like a rotation of different tournament styles. Timed attack, one try only, last score is your best score, 3 attempts only, or even a Challenge Mode (where you only get your score after playing all 8 one time through).
The ultimate though would be to have tournament ROMs in...
Wrong. Would you like to try again for $200?
I'm talking about the cold storage of the franchise. Megan Ellison's production company Annapurna Pictures bought the rights to the Terminator franchise for 20 million. Her brother at Skydance is now in control and currently gearing up for a proposed...
So you'd rather have to play AFM for over an hour or 2 just so you can get a score that might be competitive? And if you even wanna think about chasing the top five scores, you know you're gonna have to devote 3+ hours? It has become a war of endurance, and it sucks the fun right out of the...
I enjoy the look of a dark table. I do not enjoy the look of a dark table with improper colors and horrible lighting. Since it is obvious that some in the art department have no clue how actual source lighting works, I'd much rather have a brighter properly colored table.
The thing that bothers...
I'd just like to take a moment and get this thread back on...HOLY CRAP! Did you see the yabbos on that one? Wow.
What were we talking about again?
Oh yeah...I like the honey mustard sauce on my Chic-fil-a. Haters gonna hate, y'all.
Which is exactly why a new South Park table should be made!
Fun fact...I worked on the live action Mr. Hanky commercial, one of my very first jobs as a camera assistant in the industry. I was paid with a signed t-shirt from Matt and Trey. Also kept the Hi-8 tape that recorded everything the...
I hate Gottlieb. I even refused to vote in that poll, because I don't enjoy their tables. At least I don't have to suffer with Zaccaria machines too.
As for the mining of the PC file to figure out what is coming next...yeah, it's frowned upon, and I knew that before becoming a Mod. Considering...
Nintendo / Sega wars were the best.
I still remember back in the Atari / Intellivision / ColecoVision days how they'd put up screenshots of all three systems for a particular game to show graphics differences. The Donkey Kong screens always cracked me up, with how horrible Atari looked compared...
I find the South Park table to be terribly repetitive and ultimately boring. It's fun for the audio clips your first few quarters, but then even that starts to wear. I think in TPA, it'd become one of those tables you can play as a marathon real quickly.
I love and still actively watch South...
