Everyone pretty much despises Goin' Nuts, but it's downright enjoyable compared to Orbitor 1. That table wears out it's novelty factor within your first game. I know it's unique and all, but lordy is it terrible.
Norm is the man. If you ever find yourself lucky enough to start up a conversation with him, do so. He is highly entertaining and filled with good stories. He treated Centaur as if it was a beloved child according to Bobby.
Back in.
I'm so in the mood to play against people, do 5 minute challenges. I'll be playing TPA in the meantime and checking back every now and then to see if someone else is in the room. I'm not ignoring, I'm playing!
Williams
Bally
Stern (post 2000)
Capcom
Data East
Sega
Gottlieb
In that order. Actually Sega and Data East could flip flop and I wouldn't notice the difference.
Here's the one thing I like about Gottlieb tables...they make me LOVE Williams / Bally all the more!!
I have a season pass, so I don't even get to mull over if I plan on buying something. Then again, all it takes is a tournament to start up and I'll buy whatever table I don't have so I can...
At this point, starting fresh and having the ability to play on a big screen with your setup, PC all the way. While I currently prefer the PS3 graphics to PC (not as bloomy), that will all change once the PC does DirectX 11 and turns into a PS4 version of graphics. On top of that, you'll have...
As promised, I asked the guys at FarSight directly if there was any kind of algorithmic difficulty added. They laughed.
You know how people swear there are magnets on tables that don't have magnets? Same thing. It's in your head. FarSight has done nothing of the sort in programming different...
Why didn't I see this topic till today? Weird.
So I'm not getting a PS4 any time soon. Like it might be a year or two. Even still, I was debating about getting anymore on the PS3 after Season 2. My thought was, I'd probably jump over to the PC version. Well after playing the PC Beta, I'm not...
Mike, not quite sure how to take a screen shot here, but the ball looking small might be a product of the color scheme of the table and how it reflects. To me, the ball just looks like it's getting buried in the flipper, and when the ball is near the tip, like if it was doing a SDTM, it visually...
I just wanna be surprised by FS. Give us a table we all thought would need a kickstarter. Or put out a modern Stern or two. Drop a Capcom table on us without even suspecting, or (can't believe I'm saying this) something from Data East. What I most want out of the next season? Online modes!!
I've been playing with these tables in the PC Beta, and they do seem a little fuzzy to me. There's just not a crispness around any of the text, and on 1812 there's a sign hanging on the habitrail and it's barely legible. My only hope is they're still futzing with 'em, it is beta after all, and...
